I initially drove here to visit the Bastei Bridge which was of course beautiful, but quite crowded even at 10 am. Afterwards I spent about 8 hours just hiking through the national park. Fewer people to run into and some amazing trails to explore. Definitelly a nice place to visit. You can go with various trails from 1 to 5 hours easily. I recommend to visit less known and therefore less crowded places. Breathtakingly beautiful region. Wonderful for trekking, family trips and camping. We explored Pirna and were positively surprised about the touristic infrastructure, especially for kids. They have a city map for children and a treasure hunt, too. We camped and lived the Campingplatz Pirna. We will be coming back to the region! Great place for hiking! We hiked for 6 hours.
