We stayed on a retired river boat, the Douro Cruiser, which is now a hotel, so we don't know about any marine services the may have. Very attractive with plenty of choice for food and drink. Set in the old fishing village with many authentic narrow cobbled streets and terraced houses. You can still see the traditional washing lines on poles next to the water where locals hang their washing without fear of it being stolen! A Douro River boat ride is a must when visiting Porto. Great spot. We left on a BBDouro tour on a catamaran from here and it was perfect. Vibrant suburb of Porto, lots of bars/restaurants BBQing on the street all very reasonable. Parking on the carpark for the first time hopefully it will quieten down later! Note no parking Friday night or Saturday morning as there is a market on the carpark. Nice with a scenic view. Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent line handlers. Restrooms and showers clean and modern. Best go to for Porto! A wonderful to try out a sailing experience of 4 people comfortably. We went with the company called BB Douro and docking gate D. with a duration of 2H45 minutes. The skippers are very knowledgeable and you will learn how to sail basics in 1 experience. Thereafter why not consider a 3-month course to become a skipper yourself :) drinking Water is cold and free at the BB store, bring your bottle, there are bathrooms only for customers, and you only want to take items that can float. No snacks, and cover up from the sun, with shades, long sleeves and good grip shoes. Great place to visit and loads of local restaurants and seafood and fish restaurants 🙌🏼 The best area to enjoy the sunset around boats and yachts. Many tours, bars and restaurants available around the area. One of the best Marinas I have been to. Extremely friendly people, helpful hands, good jetties with electricity, water, fuel. Easy access and clean facilities. Nice advice from the office where to go and how to explore the area best. An absolute highlight of our Portugal cruise. A lovely experience cruising through the 6 bridges at sunset. The weather was cool and perfect, and having a privately booked yacht made it all the more special A beautiful place, warm welcoming and helpfull people that give a lot of usefull information about Porto en Afurada, good facilities. Fresh breadrolls in the cockpit every morning! Terrible service. booked 2 hours and only got 45 minutes because they checked the boat 15 min before the trip and realised there were engine problems. we had to wait an hour. paid 734 Euros for 2 hours and got 45 minutes. again, TERRIBLE service. Not only this but the anchor did not work so we couldnt go diving which we paid for, and neither did the toilet too.
