This place has been on my list for a very long time! We were lucky to be in Kinneuchar on a perfect, sunny, blue-skied day in July and had lunch on the terrace outside (we booked a week before). The lunch is smaller than dinner naturally but didn't disappoint with options. We started with bread and pigs head croquettes which were sized and delicious. Myself and my boyfriend had the sharing beef rump as we really couldn't say no - it was great, the perfect amount of food between us both, and seasoned and the horseradish cream was SUPER. We still had room for dessert and I had to order the cooked-to-order madeleines because, of course. The desserts were the highlight - the madeleines were light, warm, and packed with flavour. My boyfriend had the almond and peach tart and OH MY GOD, the flavour and the crispiness of the tart shell was so, so, so good. I will simply have to get back some time for dinner. Faultless. The are so friendly and they focus on local produce - food is fantastic! Will definitely be back. Corkage £25wine ,£45 for champagne. Able to do a vegan meal on request. Starter and mains I stuck to fish, smoked trout and plaice(£27). Fabulous attentive in the private shared dinning room. Only downside side for me was allowing the other party to have a dog in this dinning room.Pah. Best in Fife. A small, but very diverse with locally sourced produce. This time around absolutely obsessed with the vegan fava bean flatbreads starter. On request a vegan is supplied. Most of our party got fish, balanced flavours and extremely fresh. We did not book a table but found that Thursday night was relatively quiet. There was a choice of meals for meat eaters and vegetarians. My daughter loves pasta so she had the potato and oregano agnolotti with rainbow chard, olives and percolino. I had cod, courgettes, chickpeas and romesco. Both meals were delicious. Our choice of deserts were one plum gelato and one Strawberry Meringue. The dish prices were on the high side. How lucky are we to have this INCREDIBLE so near to us. But honestly, even if we had to drive for hours, it would be worth it! You can always rely on the most exquisite, high quality grub at the Inn. Regularly changing based on the best of local produce. Wonderful, genuine service. A huge bonus for us that dogs are welcome too. My fav in the world. A joyful from start to finish. Ate in the bar area as had our wee dog with us. Wonderful welcome with prompt, professional, friendly service. The was exciting and varied with a combination of tastes and textures. Food was expertly and beautifully presented. The atmosphere in the inn was lovely as everyone seemed delighted to be there enjoying food and company. A definite ‘must’ if you’re visiting the East Neuk and appreciate quality dining I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to dine at Kinneuchar Inn for awhile and our visit did not disappoint. We started with a few Cumbrae oysters and the octopus starter, which was a special. The oysters were fresh, and the octopus very flavorful. Usually at nice places, I find that the starters tend to outshine the main - not here. My partner and I both got the lamb and a side of potatoes. The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth and paired with the tomatoes and feta. Our waiter was kind enough to give us a complimentary slice of bread to mop up the leftover sauce. We enjoyed the raspberry tart and cheese for dessert. The wine list was also memorable, and I always appreciate when there’s an option to order a carafe. We tried to call a cab back to our hotel at the end of the evening. Perhaps a rookie move that we did not plan ahead, but every taxi said they were booked. Thinking we were stranded, our waiter swooped in and saved the day, calling a taxi where he knew someone who could help. I’d be back to Kinneuchar in a heartbeat (but I’d probably plan a little better on my end!). Loved everything about our visit and we’ll definitely be back! Warm and cosy setting. Amazing friendly servers who were attentive and gave great descriptions of the dishes. Every dish was so and we had take get some madeleine’s to take away! Thank you! I will never ever shut up about how PERFECT this is. It’s quickly become a family favorite and staple of every St Andrew’s visit. changes daily, with proteins accompanied by creative and sides. We had fried skate fish, pork chop, and lamb chop. To top off a perfect and atmosphere, the exceeds every expectation. If you’re still reading, stop what you’re doing and make a reservation immediately! The best place I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Amazing food that changes regularly, all the dishes are well thought out and prepared with care, the are delightful and the atmosphere is lovely. I would highly recommend this for any special occasions, or if you're looking for food. A gem of an establishment. Kinneuchar Inn is an absolute gem! The food and are truly fantastic. I started with the fish cake, and it was hands down the tastiest I’ve ever had. For my main, I opted for the duck, which was to perfection, while my partner had the pie – it was fabulous, so much so that I’ll definitely be placing an order for one myself next time. The gentleman behind the bar crafts some incredible cocktails, adding to the overall experience. We also visited on New Year’s Day to try their famous chicken bun, and wow – it lived up to the hype and more! It was so I’d honestly wait for hours in the cold just to have another. It’s worth every minute of the wait, and I couldn’t help but feel sorry for those who gave up on the queue. If you’re dining with a party of six or more, you can book a table – a great tip we’ll be taking advantage of for the next bank holiday. We’re already planning a family visit, and they can’t wait to it too. kinneuchar Inn is a must-visit – you won’t be disappointed! A truly beautiful atmosphere. The was incredibly helpful and welcoming, ensuring everything up to standard throughout our experience. We ordered clams and ox heart as starters—the ox heart was so tasty we ordered seconds. For main I had undoubtedly one of the most cods I’ve ever had, it was cooked, seemingly fresh, well seasoned and accompanied. I was there with my parents who also had a pleasurable experience. They ordered lamb and pork belly, both were left beyond satisfied. The prices are fairly adjacent to the quality. I totally recommend this restaurant, both and food quality are excellent! Our family of 5 visited later on Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed our visit. was diverse and interesting, it's not by any means elevated pub grub so don't go with that expectation. Food was excellently presented and tasted great. Equally drinks fantastic. Whilst the was and initially very good, it did slide off towards then end and eventually it was just our table in the with no around, we had to find someone to request the bill and it was still 1 hour to closing. By no means did it spoil our and we'd 100% recommend visiting, although we'd look to return at a different day & time. We loved our first visit to the here a few months back so returned for the truly Kinneuchar Fried Chicken Bun Monday. I got the sense that everyone - the staff, the clientele, & even the friendly dogs - enjoy the special days they do the chicken. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and the actual Chicken Buns themselves were an absolute refined comfort food joy. On December 28, 2024, we booked a table for two at The Kinneuchar Inn, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had! Ruth, our delightful host, guided us with her excellent recommendations. We started with the fishcakes and flatbread—both absolute winners. For our mains, we chose the duck and a freshly pie that felt like something straight out of a grand Scottish baronial feast. To finish, we indulged in the cheesecake and the chocolate caramel pot—both flawless, a solid 10/10. The meal was so exceptional that we returned on New Year’s Day to try their limited-edition chicken buns. If these aren’t the best chicken buns in the UK, I don’t know what is! We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Althea, who shared that the buns will be back on the for the April bank holiday. We’re already looking forward to enjoying them again! The Kinneuchar Inn is now our new favorite spot in Scotland. The staff? 10/10. The food? 10/10. We can’t recommend it highly enough! Wow, worth the hype! This has been on my to do list since searching for places in Edinburgh and this getting called out as the best and worth the drive out of the city! Having driven over an hour to get here it needed to be and it was! Excellent attentive service, great choices which delivered equally on aesthetics and flavour, lovely calm and relaxed environment whilst still feeling special and topped off with wine list which did not disappoint.
