Couple of nice real ales on tap. Black & Blue burger was very tasty, as was the Steak pie. Busy pub and full on quiz night. Great experience. Fantastic food. Great ale. Service was excellent - attention to detail despite a large number of covers. Lovely country pub with good mix of wet and food service. Lovely cosy pub bistro Always busy and booking required at weekends. Guest ales are local and they even make one themselves! Food is good but similar to Edinburgh prices. Overall recommended and nice for a walk if you're staying in one of the local campsites. Edit. Now London prices! Restaurant was very busy and noisy.....this did not stop me from having a superb meal with friends. High quality food and drink, friendly attentive service and great view towards the Tay and Tentsmuir. Well worth a visit! When in the area I always visit this place and again I and my friends weren't disappointed. My only criticism was that , I appreciate we were 6 minutes late , we seemed to be rushed to our table and rushed to chose our food from the menu. A more relaxed approach suits me better. Having said that .... well done to everyone we thoroughly enjoyed the evening Great food at a decent price. We headed to the Strathkinness Tavern based on a recommendation from our B&B. The wait staff was super knowledgeable about not only the food menu, but the drink and beer selection as well. We started off with a few cheddar scones which were amazing followed by our entrees of a Steak & Ale Pie, Haddock Risotto and Pecan Crusted Salmon. Every single one of them was amazing! Yes! Yes! Yes! My very favorite tavern and the steak pie is a must. Wonderful place run by lovely people. Absolutely delicious food and top class service from all the team.Definitely will be back !Highly recommend this wonderful Tavern . The food service and atmosphere was lovely. Loved the are outside the tavern the views were fantastic. Very peaceful place felt nice and relaxed. A nice pub restaurant, lovely view. Limited options for gluten free, only starter was soup.... and that meant soup with no bread! Great range of sorbets for dessert Great local pub. The owners work the bar and are very friendly. They have a machine that recharges champagne bottles, so many bubbly options by the glass. Food is delicious, staff very friendly and on mondays there is a local music group. Loved it! One of the best meals we've had in a long time, despite loving our food and eating out often! The pork loin was to-die-for and I will certainly be trying to recreate this beautiful combination at home! Perfectly cooked by an incredibly talented chef and more than worth every penny! The owners are also super lovely and very knowledgeable about their great whisky selection! Great restaurant - for adults. No kids menu. They do offer to do smaller portions of some of the items but the isn't super kid friendly. The food we had was good and the atmosphere was great. Favourite place in St Andrews area. I’ve been coming here for 12+ years and it’s always been worth it. Great food (try the Haggis stuffed Mushrooms!), wonderful atmosphere and lots of fun events such as live music and quizzes. Well done to the owners + team. Excellent food and service. I very nice and well run pub with a great community atmosphere. Used everyday by locals and many tourists and holiday makers. You couldn't ask for a better local pub with close to Michelin star quality food in the restaurant. We are very lucky to have such a high quality bar and restaurant in as a village pub and restaurant. We had a fantastic evening here. The food is absolutely lovely, with a great atmosphere and live music, with a really welcoming staff. A highlight of our weekend in Scotland.🏴 Thank you, The Tavern!
