I can't possibly say enough good things about this place. It was our first stop when getting into St. Andrews. We got to sit outside(first come, first serve seating and sit at your own risk) and enjoy the views. But definitely keep your head on the swivel!!! The blind tee shots hit from the 17th tee are known to venture their way over into the patio area. My husband and I almost got hit by one. But, the atmosphere is electric and so worth taking that risk...for us at least. The service and food were incredible. We kept it light with a side order of Chunky Chips to split, a bowl of Cullen Skink, a Diet Coke, and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. It was all delicious and we enjoyed every bite! Thank you to the whole staff for helping us make these unforgettable memories. The Traditional Cullen Skink is absolutely delicious. I’ve never had it before so I wanted to try something new and definitely was not disappointed! I wish there was a bigger bowl especially on the cold day we had. Nonetheless, it was very tasty with a lot of flavor and reminded me of a more viscous clam chowder. The Steak and Chips were also a huge winner. I asked for the steak to be medium rare and they delivered perfection. What really set the meal off was the peppercorn sauce that came with it! Truly a game changer for that dish. I dipped every piece of steak into that nectar from the Gods!! Go enjoy a nice meal right on the course 🤗 We came just to grab a drink and watch the golfers pass, and it was quite a view! Had a few orders of whiskey which I thought portions were little, at least compared to other places we've been. It also gets noisy when larger groups are seated near you. Service is friendly although the bar tender seems a little cold. We did take a while to get service as most of them stayed indoors unless you've just arrived and are shown your seat. Nonetheless, still an experience everyone should come for. Wished we had appetite for food as the dishes looked amazing! Our first beer and cider after arriving in Scotland. What a place! Staff is cheerful and helpful. The food is great. Right next to the Old Course so you get to see the players making their way through 17 and 18. The best pub in St Andrews (for me at least). We came back another 2 times because we enjoyed it so much. Outside with the views and history or inside with the coziness and history. Much of it will depend on the weather but either one is a option. Nothing beats the feeling of all those that came before that helped shape the game. Have a pint and soak it all in. The fish and chips were really good. The Jigger Ale was fantastic. The service was ok. Depending on the person they may of had their fill of semi drunk golf dudes for the day or perhaps they just started their shift and are happy. Either way, enjoy being near one of the hardest holes on the course and image the golfers teeing off at 17 aiming for the Jigger Inn. place as an alternative to the popular Dunvegan. Has a terrace alongside the road hole 17 with a fantastic view of the fairway. Probably the best bar to enjoy the Old Course. It's St. Andrews. You're at the Jigger Inn. Not much to complain about. Sit outside. Enjoy the views. Have a pint. Fish and chips were great. Good stuff ... A must visit. Quaint pub adjacent to the 17th fairway of The Old Course at St. Andrews. If you sit outside, you are basically on the 17th hole. Good food and drink too! If I could give 10 stars here, I would! The Jigger Inn was such a wonderful experience for our family! The staff loved on our little 1-year old so well. They brought him a plate of french fries right after we sat down and they played peek-a-boo with him off and on during our lunch. They were exceptional! The food was amazing, the beer was cold and delicious -- the setting... WOW! We were seated on the patio at the 17th hole of the legendary St. Andrews Old course. It was very special! After lunch, our little one took his first steps right there at the Jigger Inn and the staff celebrated him so sweet and they all signed a kids menu as a memento of his very first steps! Such a memorable day! Thank you Jigger Inn!! If St. Andrews is the Home of Golf, then The Jigger Inn is the clubhouse you never want to leave. Bart, Elsa, and Ethan deserve their own spot in the Hall of Fame—exceptional service, endless charm, and a history lesson sprinkled with stories you can’t put a price on. The sticky toffee pudding and tart? Let’s just say they should come with a warning label—because once you’ve tried them, you’ll be ruined for desserts anywhere else. Bottom line: golf may be the religion here, but The Jigger Inn is the cathedral. A must-visit every single time you’re in town. Lively bar next to the Old Course in St Andrews. Expect to hear a lot of golf-related conversations! I had Caesar salad and salmon, both of which were very good, and served promptly by friendly staff. Has outside seating, which seemed very popular. Stopped in for a beer after a walk around the Old Course. Beautiful bar (serves food) with outdoor seating area adjacent to the golf course. Check out the signed caps of the famous golfers of the world. A must visit for all golf fans. While staying at the Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews, we had lunch at The Jigger Inn. My husband ordered the Traditional Cullen Skink—a hearty smoked haddock and potato soup served with sourdough bread and butter—which he found very filling. I chose the rump steak with peppercorn sauce, and it was tender and flavorful, paired with perfectly crisp, well-seasoned chunky chips. For dessert, we shared a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream that was absolutely delicious. The service was warm and friendly, and the pub had a overall vibe. place to warm after winter golf. Service was warm and friendly. I had the wild mushroom on toast fresh and yummy. Love it. Do make the stop Absolutely wonderful spot for food and drink in St. Andrews. The staff was so incredibly friendly and fun, especially "Jimbo." Best bangers and mash I’ve ever had!! Also very well catered for during the evenings outside where blankets and hot water bottles are provided so you can still enjoy the view of the old course. Highly recommend!
