Great little restaurant, service was excellent, warm and friendly and the and were gorgeous. Definitely will be going back when I'm in the area again 😁 A place with helpful staff; went in the cafe area which was well laid out with a toilet too! As cafe food is more expensive than same nosh we just had chip butty and with curry sauce. Overall good, but if concerned by cost, like us, choose the option (next we will). Very handy location if you're a fan of viewing roads that have collapsed into the sea, like so many along this unique coastal area. Called in had 2 and to take away. and peas were really but the and batter wasn't fantastic, dont get me wrong it was nice but I have had far better. Everything was cooked fresh. I had seen an article about this place and had been waiting 2 years to visit. Also recommended by my cousin who cycled out to see and eat from hull on my comments. Circumstances aligned and made the journey this week. From my posts youll see I go to a lot of and and this has got to be my favourite for quality of food (if you're going by the above metrics). The service was also top of the ratings too, but I guess that would be the case with 7 eating in restaurant and 3 behind the counter. Admittedly it's out on the coast, in a village that you have to read about before going (check the reviews) or word of mouth from a previous patron and it's not got an atmosphere (due to location though regulars and met were funny and happy to chat before heading out and back to manor estate they worked on) like regular sit down chippy, however from first bite to the last I can say it's the best I've had in a long time. Stunning in a thin crispy batter....10/10, nice staff also. There again yesterday. Fish and was all I had this as I was just passing, spot on. The owner I understand is a keen fisherman so he knows his fish. Service very friendly. Atmosphere, sitting in or take away you come away feeling good. Parking can be a little bit of a problem but if you think about it and act with curtesy . It's fine. DONT BUY A PIE... Fish and are Great. BUT THE PIES.... DONT BOTHER. Bought a chicken pie a couple of weeks ago. Never seen a chicken. The steak one tonight. New line of GRAVY PIES. 1 pea size bit of steak. 2 pea size, kidney. Full of Gravy. The management need a new supplier. FAST. STOP GETTING CHEAP PIES. Better at football grounds. Always recommend the & chips. Went here for a for the first this evening. We had and and a pizza, the was great value for money and a really size. My son said the pizza was delicious. All cooked to order so it was lovely and hot. Service was friendly. Will definitely be going here again. Lovely and Chips. Friendly Service. Visited while on Holiday. Ordered 2 Cod and with Curry Sauce, all was perfect 👌 Parking Note - Yellow Lines mostly outside of the place but I parked on a side street across from the restaurant. We stayed nearby to Aldbrough village and placed a large group order (16 people) on a Friday evening. We placed our order in advance and the team at The Frying Farmer were very accommodating. Our order was ready to collect at the agreed and the food was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. We would certainly visit The Frying Farmer again should we be in the area! What would have cost £18 on a take away cost £31.50 cause we ate in. was 5.95 to take out but 8.75 to eat in every item was quite a lot more in the cafe than takeaway. Would definitely go back but only for as the food was bang on and mushy peas huge fish, white as white and light batter. Passed this place many times in my hgv but never stopped as it's quite a narrow street and parking is limited. I was passing in my car tonight so stopped to have a gander and got curry and to test the water.......chips were spot on, and the curry was amazing, might even be the best I've had from a chippy. Next I'm passing I'm stopping to have a go at the even if I block the road while I grab it 😄 Absolutely amazing and chips. The was lovely and fresh definitely best and we have had. Staff were brilliant as well.perfect lunch with Husband I have been to the frying farmer many times for but decided to take my children in to sit down for dinner. The service was nothing but fantastic with the lady attending to us and bringing the children’s food quickly and listening to their requests, with a smile and compliments on how my children were. The food is always great here but today deserves a special thanks and review on what a lovely experience we had. Thank you very much. We came here one Friday night on our way to the seaside as we fancied some and chips. Honestly the BEST and and scampi we have had in years and we recently travelled around Cornwall and Devon!! The was crispy, flaky, delicious and not at all greasy. The were perfectly crispy and fluffy inside. We enjoyed every single mouthful and will definitely be visiting again!
