I’m giving it 5 stars because I was on my push bike, so I didn’t have to pay the excessive price to park! We visited to view the ships passing and those that were moored up. It was a beautiful evening and a perfect place to watch the sunset. Homely and friendly harbour for a short stay mooring. Convenient for the high street that has a lot of shops & bars. has a lounge offering free hot drinks, an unusual but great touch. My first visit to the at Southampton, it was easy to access, very organised and helpful staff. Very impressed. Additionally, the offers excellent technical services and has a well-stocked chandlery, making it easy to address any maintenance needs. Whether for a short stopover or a longer stay, this consistently exceeds expectations. Nice If you're into your boats/ships of all sizes this is a great place to use as a viewing platform for this extremely busy and important port for the UK Parking is via the app only from what I can tell. Pay machines were covered up so you must remember to download the app in order to park. A bit pricey but a good spot to stop and watch a few boats. Fantastic. Ran down from town as we heard ships horns. Can see all across the water fantastic place with a lovely coffee shop. I wasn't at the Marina, I was at Town Quay. The buildings all seem deserted, but I don't come here for that. I like to walk right down to the very end. There are benches there and you can sit and look down the whole length of Southampton Water. Its great to see the ships coming and going. When I last went there the water was like a mill pond and it was a beautiful sunny day. Great location, plenty of car parking. Ideal place to park up, have a coffee, and wait for your boarding time for your cruise. Sat watching the world go by. Saw grandkids off to Norway on Ionia 7 day cruise Really enjoyed my visit Great parking place, although watch out because it can get very busy. If it is full hang around because there is a quick change around in cars. Windy, but the sun was wonderful View is beautiful Absolutely love vising here. It's become a favourite last time for me and my mother and a chance for me to test out my camera. I love seeing the ships and cannot wait to go on one myself next year. The carpark is exactly how a carpark is... Lots is issues currently with people complaining but every time I have been I haven't seen an issue. Yeah there are people fishing but ? So what lol it's a popular fishing area. No carpark is going to be luxury and risk free of theft these days. You park at your own risk like every carpark around 🤷‍♀️ but regardless of all that. Town quay is perfect, a convenient location to park. A stones walk away from the red funnel ferries to isle of wight also, close to the town, and close to the water. What more could you want. Good access to use Red Jet /Hythe Ferry services available open space Will accommodate wheel chair/Dissibility help. Small coffee / tea shop with various items of interest to buy. An overview of my experience shop being overpriced. Good easy access at terminal 2 to use free bus service transfer ride aboard through the Southampton town and making the journey to include destination arriving at the local Southampton train station meeting needs for further travelling by train free bus service then returns back to terminal 2 for travelling to cowes I.o.w and including Hythe ferry option. Maned ticket office and chance of use of small sized restrooms' large digital screens giving up to date travelling information. Ferry crossing quick and comfortable.
