Extremely friendly. Excellent food. I had fish & chips & it was top notch - nice crispy batter and a perfect portion. Enjoyed lunch at the Oakhill Inn and was very pleased to find this hidden gem. were very and helpful and did everything possible to accommodate my wifes allergies. This meant we both had a very enjoyable meal. The food was all good and I can this pub which is larger than it looks from outside. There is a car park but you need to look out for the signs, as it is not immediately next to the pub. We stayed here for two nights while travelling through England. A gem indeed! Mel made us feel so welcome. The local community makes this place a pub you want to return to. The bedrooms are spacious enough with comfortable beds and lovely interior design. The menu is short but and no complaints about pizzas, pies or fish and chips. We are happy to this pub/B&B We have stayed or visited this inn many times and each time Wayne, the landlord and Hope, the manager have treated us like family. It is like going home in a way. The entire are friendly, engaging, and accommodating. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We have enjoyed many meals here and can everything on the constantly changing menu. The bar offers an excellent selection of drinks, and I can the house beer, Oakhill Ale as one of the finest I have tasted in many years. Excellent Sunday lunch. Well cooked and flavours. Good other choices if you don't want a Sunday roast. Puddings were also super. Service was excellent. Not the cheapest but in my opinion you tend to get what you pay for! Would definitely visit again if I was in the area. What a pub. Wayne does a fabulous job of running this pub. The are brilliant, and a special mention should go to the chefs in the kitchen who delivered two brilliant evening meals and scrumptious breakfasts. The pub has a atmosphere with lots of locals and pub guests enjoying real ale and a roaring fire Our room was fine and comfortable. If I was being super picky, then the shower grout could do with a scrub out and perhaps a thinner duvet for the bed as we needed the window open even in February. We would definitely return here. Had a fabulous Sunday lunch here. It was really lovely and a place to eat I would whole heartedly recommend. The were all very and the atmosphere warm, welcoming and relaxed. It’s the sort of place that you can see they all work very hard to make it look easy. Definitely worth a visit and we'll be going again - our dog even got a biscuit for being well behaved! Just got back from a weekend stay at this lovely pub. The were fantastic- so and helpful, the food was and the rooms are really nice and clean. Bed was so comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay This is a gem of a pub. Such service & beautifully cooked food. We had a sharing plate with a colleida scope of flavours then I had lamb & my husband had the sea bass for mains. Beautiful balance of flavours. Highly recommend. We would come again if we lived closer but can to anyone staying at the fabulous Oakhill campsite as just a short walk away. Also beers & wine selection. Looking for somewhere for lunch after returning from Cornwall, with over 200 miles still to travel. Couldn't have found a better place. Delicious homemade pie with veg, mash and gravy. behind bar. Parked up the road as didn't realise pub had its own small car park on opposite side. Thoroughly recommended for the food, friendliness and peaceful ambience. Sunday lunch was generous and delicious. and warm and happy atmosphere. Would thoroughly for a meal. Didn't use the hotel but nice ambiance in the restaurant. Our visit to Somerset was made so fantastic by Wayne and his team at Oakhill Inn. It is a base to explore Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, Bath and many other locations. We arrived on Sunday and were shown to our fantastic room with a stand alone roll top bath. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. We had Sunday Roast which was absolutely amazing. The rest of our meals including breakfast which they take orders for the night before but my wife wanted something different to the menu and this was no problem for them. The locals were all very and give advice on places to visit. The rear beer garden is for catching the sun whilst enjoying a nice cold drink.
