Lovely gem of a place ...had a lovely cream tea sat out on the patio ...very friendly service ... It was a drizzly January day so not the best time to visit a farm! We didn't see anything beyond the shop and café. The shop was an eclectic mix of local produce, gifts and random consumables. A disappointing array of products, I guess due to being a quiet time of year. But a gorgeous display of home baked pasties and sausage rolls. Our meals were very simple but home cooked and delicious 😋 I would recommend the homemade soups 🍲 For a working this rustic kitchen is a great place for some lovely homemade food. Their cheese & chilli pastie, along with a fresh side salad, was particularly nice and I'd choose it again. A lovely atmosphere and the staff friendly. Prices are reasonable. Staff brought a Guinea Pig round for children to see and stroke which I thought was a lovely touch. Would recommend this as an excellent place for home cooked and locally sourced produce. Well done to all the staff. Attached to the diner this is a well stocked local sourced produce shop . Reasonable prices for the foodstuff . There is also a large selection of farm/countryside gifts . Once again the staff are friendly and helpful Lovely place to visit, food is always great and the staff are always friendly. We always make sure to come here when we come on holiday and is always our pit stop before heading home, Cream Tea recommended. Lovely views too Had a lovely visit here yesterday. The Cider Apple cake was so yummy we even bought a whole one to bring home. Little one loved the animals and even made friends with a goat, and Lizzy was kind enough to let her see one of the bunnies up close when she came out to feed them. We'll definitely be back! Bit of an odd place, service seemed near on null. Breakfasts were barely cooked apart from the toast which came out with the waitress stating ‘one sides a bit burnt but the others ok so it will be fine’ as the top crust was cut off to hide the worst before being served to us, rather than making another slice. Got charged £1 for an apple juice that was labelled 50p which is surely illegal. Quite comical really but we wouldn’t go again, just bizarre, far from the usual shop and cafe experience. Lovely lunch hour spent here with my daughter. Beautiful views with a stellar cuppa whilst the small played in the play area, then my little lady thoroughly enjoyed getting up close with the animals. Great shop as well, can’t give it the full 5 stars as the gluten free range was unfortunately rather limited. However other half said the pasty & brownie I got him were delicious so what they do stock is very good quality!
