Calshot Activities Centre – Climb, Cycle, Ski, Watersports

Southampton, United Kingdom Adventure sports center

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. A wonderful provision in Calshot. So much to do, including ringos, a velodrome, rock climbing, high ropes and much more! Even some courses. All staff were kind and welcoming. A large car park which is £1 an hour. Those with a blue badge can get free parking and need to show it to reception. Great views out of the widows or when seated outside the cafe. Would have been 5 stars, but the cafe was not open for food. Great place with a good choice of activities on offer. Plenty of information about the history of Calshot. Friendly and helpful staff, great cafe with excellent views across the Solent to the isle of Wight and Portsmouth. Good place to watch the ships coming into Southampton. Nice area for a walk with good parking (not free) with a beach and old castle to look around. I would recommend A big shout out to Richard who taught a group of use how to cycle in the velodrome. A great session and very informative. Well worth the cost. Bikes felt great to ride and hats and shoes were also provided. Would definitely go back again but I probably when it's warmer 😊. What a beautiful place Such an exciting space for the kids for the day out. Lots of activities for children including the climbing wall, slope for skiing practice and many other exciting things. Most impressive was Velodrome for cycling practice. Never seen anything like this ever Attended an all day Beginners course. Great tuition and support from Richard. A fun, helpful and confidence building day. Great facilities, lots of options and not so busy you have to wait to climb any wall. Very child friendly and a lovely cafe overlooking the beach. Visited again this weekend. Good value for money. Friendly staff and great facilities. Reasonable pricing. Only comment would be the velodrome course should be 30 minutes longer than the 1.5 hours currently is (enjoyable course though). Also nice little cafe with a good beach. Parking around £8 mark for day. Brilliant! We came for the café. Excellent disabled toilets 👍 good food and hot drinks, reasonably priced. We sat outside, watching the boats go by. Very accessible for those with mobility issues: wide access, flat and smooth, ramps where needed. The hangar is amazing. Such a good idea to convert it into a velodrome, 🚴🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️climbing wall 🧗🧗‍♀️🧗‍♂️and ski slope⛷️⛷️. Well done 👍👍💪 First race day there has been at the Calshot Velodrome for many years and my first time riding there! Excellently organised. What a fantastic little venue this is. It was very cool to see a ski slope, climbing wall, Velodrome etc. Very odd but awesome little place. Hopefully much more racing in the future because that was a fun day out! Parking was about £5 for the day Cafe and drinks available. Free for spectators. Very cold so wrap up warm 👌 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
