During our at 15 The Drive, Penstowe Holiday Park, Bude, Cornwall, from April 17th to April 20th, we were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional amenities and services provided. The chalet was conveniently located and easily accessible, with the owner’s helpful directions. The complimentary car park was situated directly behind the chalet, enhancing our convenience. The towels and bed sheets were impeccably clean, and the kitchen was immaculate, equipped with all the necessary utensils and amenities. The inclusion of free Wi-Fi and the Smart TV, which enabled us to access Netflix and YouTube, was a significant plus. The chalet was particularly well-suited for families, offering a wide range of games and activities to keep children entertained. The outstanding customer service, exemplified by Leanne’s frequent communication and assistance, ensured our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. While minor improvements could be considered, such as the occasional squeaking of the bed in the main room and the occasional stiffness of the cupboard doors in the children’s room, these minor inconveniences were overshadowed by the overall enjoyment of our stay. In conclusion, the facilities at 15 The Drive were exceptional, and we highly recommend this chalet for a memorable and enjoyable experience. We eagerly anticipate our return stay. The holiday park is a little run down and we found that the kids park and pool had been closed down which is a real shame. The cabin itself was small but has everything we need. The beds are comfy and the bedding was fresh. The bathroom has a big walk in shower which was when we came from the beach covered in sand (including the dog). It is very quiet on site and there didn't seem to be a lot of people staying here but we couldn't understand why. It's a place to base yourself, has beautiful scenery and only 5 miles to Bude and, compared to the prices in Bude, is cheap as chips. Definitely worth a look at if you're on a budget. Penstowe pub in so sorry to say was a bit of shock. We've stayed on Penstowe grounds a few times now over the years and the grounds clubhouse was always brilliant but this year we found it had closed and a 'pop up' pub/sports bar has been put in place next door. Having alot of MDF and plastic sheeting I assumed it was temporary while the main building is being renovated (scaffolding etc... gives this impression) which is completely understandable and a use of the space but on better understanding during our it appears this is staying. With the new laundrette it doesn't look too promising as the laundrette is also MDF central and the washing machines were dirty and unkept (we used the one in Bude at the top of the high street) The grounds around the manor on a closer look is a crumbling mess which is sad to see as it was a beautifully kept place. Hopefully it improves as it really is a lovely location with lots of privately rented chalets which are wonderful. The chalet we hired was great, had everything we needed for our short stay, the view down to the coast was second to none, even though there was a lot of low cloud during our stay. We felt a little let down by the images on Google as there is no swimming pool on site now and the pub/bar is on the process of renovation, but is still operating, other wise we had a stay. Really enjoyed our at 22 the manor (valley view ) everything that we needed was supplied in our accommodation. The views were amazing as we're the variety of birds we saw on the numerous feeders. Really peaceful place to stay. Just a short walk into Kilkhampton for two pubs and a coop store. Had a Sunday lunch in the new London pub. Well what can I say about this place. Shows on website that it has a pool but it doesn't. No club house or entertainment at all. Electric is not included in the price when booking and is very expensive when you use it. No shop on site either but you can find shops in kilkhampton which are good. Very disappointed with this place. Will not come here again and would advise others to away. It may seam harsh giving it one star but to be truthful I would off given it no stars if I could.
