We visited for haloween as it was advertised online there would be activities for children. When we arrived there was a queue already with lots of families dressed in fancy dress. We managed to get to the front after about an hour and a half but were told that they had not prepared well enough and run out of activities for the children. We then had a short with a story in French lasting about 5 minutes. My children were massively disappointed and to be honest the whole thing was disorganised and frankly a shambles. The chateaux and grounds themselves were beautiful but we were not here to see this. I would recommend that the next event they ensure they have tickets or enough materials and activities to last. Lovely setting. Beautiful pop of Chateau. Very friendly people run this vineyard. Well maintained chateau. Had guided (in French). We had text cards. Visited downstairs and upstairs rooms. Tourist took 30 mins. Might have a wait for start of next but outside grounds are nice. Tea room was advertised but was not open and couldn't find any toilets Très belle visite bien sympathique en plus guidée amazing grounds, the building is beautiful, the tours are at fixed times - sadly we missed it but just sitting in the tea room is enjoyable enough after a stroll around the nearby forest .(only tea, coffee biscuits on offer) Hors des lieux touristiques habituels, le Calvados possède des pépites perdues dans le Bocage. Jolie balade nocturne. Accueil professionnel et sympathique Lovely setting. Unusual architecture. Beautiful interior. This stately home is a hidden gem, personal guided provided in English by very attentive staff. Closed between 12pm and 2:30pm but there is a picnic area close by. Tea rooms were delightful, basic menu but great service in exceptional surroundings. Good chateau to visit and only 4 EUR for adults and free for children. was in French and even though we were the only English people on the the girl doing the offered to explain in English to us but as we had already been given English leaflets with all details we declined the kind offer however our questions were answered. Un très beau château. La guide était super et nous l'avons eu rien que pour nous donc nous avons pu poser pleins de questions, auxquelles elle a su répondre. Je recommande 👍 No information to indicate visits are by guided (in French only but there is a summary leaflet in English) or exactly when they take place (hence 4 stars). But if you don't mind waiting, the is v interesting and there's a lovely place to picnic across the road. Beautiful chateau with lots of lovely period furniture. We were able to conduct our own with an English leaflet which gave us the history/features of the rooms. Also the grounds were pleasant to wander round with a lake and small waterfall. Plenty of parking. Très beau château et joli parc très bien entretenus. La guide très agréable et sympathique. Visite guidée donc un peu d attente en fonction de l heure des visites mais cela n' est pas gênant ça permet de profiter du parc . Lovely setting, small manoir tastefully restored. 30 min in French only with leaflet in English. Well maintained small park. Very disappointed no tearoom or boutique as advertised and this was middle of high season July. Think the owners could do more to promote this pretty house to visitors to this area. Entry 8€.
