Long stretch of pebble with easy access from the very large car park at the top. There were a lot of dogs running around when we visited. The was very clean. Lovely place to visit. Parking close by is expensive in peak season. Steep path down to the could be awkward for less mobile people or if you are planning to take a lot of items to the beach. A nice beach. The sand isn’t as nice as it is in Shell Bay, but it’s a nice though. The steps are very steep down to the beach. There are however a lot of dogs on the beach, which isn’t ideal as someone who has a phobia of dogs! I think there are signs saying that dogs should be kept on leads, but people don’t! It was so beautiful there for a Sunday walk in the family and nice sandy areas where you could stay on your towel and have a sun bath after swimming . Visited in winter. It was clean, beautiful and refreshing. Nearby parking was very convenient and free in winter. Arrived on a warm Friday afternoon, plenty of parking, beautiful views, paths and benches along the top. 5 minute walk down the hill to a very clean spacious, clean sand and shingle beach, we spent a pleasant couple of hours here and then walked back up the hill. Had some brilliant food from the takeaway side of the restaurant, superb quality and value for money with excellent views. Purchased some local and delicious ice cream from the kiosk for pudding, sat in the little pavilion out of the wind. It's our new favourite South Coast beach, will come again.
