Nice clean camping. Owners are give you a warm welcome. We as Dutch people can suggest this camping. Stayed on/off at Pound farm for the last 6-7 yrs, never had a bad experience great times all in all. Spoke to the desk last Friday and the lady who answered was borderline unpleasant, not helpful, not interested in taking a booking and asked me to ring back in March. A shame because they lost a booking. The son has always been helpful and pleasant, but be worned do not cross she who sits on the front desk. Overall however, things happend for the best reason, booked Orchard Hideaways, near Penrith, so all I can say is thank you for been unpleasant. Maggie the owner is absolutely fabulous. The caravan site is a fantastic place to stay, it must be as we have been going there for years. I wouldn't consider stopping anywhere else. Great experience when staying in the lodges. Absolutely brilliant hospitality provided by the team who are always happy to help. Big thanks to the team once again who accommodated our last minute stay. Thanks for a time! We hope to return again soon. Me and my family have just returned from a 3 night at Pound Farm and we loved it. A bit of everything, done very well. Big enough to have an enjoyable experience but small enough to feel that they care. The grounds are very well kept, clean and inviting shower blocks with warm showers. The owners are extremely helpful and very friendly. There is also a local pub a 10min walk away which does amazing food. We will definitely be returning. Fantastic little campsite. Very welcoming and friendly Maggie in the office was such a lady. We had a little quiet pitch out of the way but still close to all the facilities. Extremely reasonably priced and also allow well behaved dogs. We will definitely be returning in the future and recommending to anyone else looking for somewhere to locally to the beautiful lake Windermere. Thanks again we've loved our Callum, Emma and Ellie dog. A great place to my 2nd time there, was as always very friendly and welcoming, quiet and peaceful good views always happy to help.
