Excellent course, real friendly and helpful. A must play course little course with fantastic of most of the lakeland fells. The course was really interesting with a mixture of holes. Will definitely return. Interesting course, quite afew steep climbs Greens where frozen but playable and in decent condition considering its the end of November. Lots of blind shots that I'm not a fan of but seeing that its our first time here not to much of a problem. We were warned about the 16th hole and not to go right because of buildings. Fantastic Wow. What a fantastic course. Very hilly starts with a par4 up a big hill. But the are fantastic around this course. Some gorgeous holes, a few blind tee shots. A few greens had some work on going and had been seeded when we played. This didnt really subtract from the experience. I really enjoyed this challenging course, you'd definitely benefit playing with someone who knows each hole or playing it multiple times. Course was good considering the recent weather. Lovely of surrounding hills of the lake district. Downside was the prices for visitors in the clubhouse. 6 pound for a pint of estrella and 4 pound for a pasty. Prices like these put some people off returning Just got back from an open at KGC. Absolutely tremendous course for the money. Generally in nick - a couple of the greens needed a bit of work, but that’s not surprising after the recent hot weather - most courses are suffering in the same way. Every hole offers something different - the last five in particular are excellent, with 16 and 17 amongst the best in the area. Highly recommended, especially at this price point. Hilly at times, but what goes up must come down! hospitality in the bar afterwards too. Keep up the work team! What a course to play. Very undulating so be prepared for some very elevated tee shots. The of the surrounding areas are amazing. A few rounds here will definitely benefit you on knowing the lines due to the blind uphill and downhill holes. Excellent round of golf, considering the time of year and the amount of clubs around that are struggling with the constant rain Kendal club has really surprised myself and my playing partner on how well the course is performing. Great of the area and the fairways had an array of variety of technical difficulty to navigate around. Upon arrival and entering into they shop to check in the lady was very welcoming, plenty of equipment for sale if your wanted any last minute gear. We had a quick bite to eat before our round in the clubhouse which again we were greeted by a lovely gent who took our order, very nice sausage and egg barm i must admit. Most definitely will be back soon with a full 4 ball to tackle the course. Enjoyable course with some fantastic views. A lot of blind shots and and a course where familiarity will help scoring but a fun challenge all the same. Chap in the pro shop was welcoming and helpful. Will happily play the course again when next in the area. I can't thank Nick enough for his excellent coaching style, which has immensely improved my game. My partner is now booked in and eagerly anticipating some top-notch tips. Kendal is a superb course with friendly staff, facilities, and breathtaking overlooking the Lakeland Hills and Kendal town. Nice course with incredible views. Providing you remind yourself you’re in the Lake District and prepare for wind it provides a round. The only downside were the greens, a few times my ball bobbled especially on longer putts and there was simply no way of making anything over 10ft. A few of the I found weren’t built for the visitor and make the course seem very member orientated. For example on the 16th I was 100 yards out and couldn’t see the green until I got to it, with how hard making any long putts are I’d of liked to have seen the pin a bit earlier and there was so way of knowing on other were exactly the green was until you got to it meaning you’d have to know the course very well to properly tackle a lot of holes. While I totally get the course needs defending, do this with water features, trees or bunkers not just leaving the player to guess, all in all a solid course and good value regardless. We played 18 today at this course, beautiful location and some challenging holes. Didn't like the idea of driving straight down the fareway and having to move the ball into the rough to protect the course, not something we have ever come across before and got back to the clubhouse only to find the locker room closed for the day! Excellent course greens and fairways immaculate, the clubhouse is superb with incredible overlooking the lake district and course. We enjoyed a breakfast before we started playing overall a days golfing experience.
