Today I completed the New Rider course at Train Wales in Cwmbran, and I couldn’t be more impressed. As someone with little to no riding a motorbike, I found the course incredibly beneficial. It covered everything from understanding the different parts of a motorbike to learning how the clutch works—especially how it differs from driving a car or van. The was a great mix of theory and hands-on practice, with a strong focus on safely handling a at low speeds. What truly made the exceptional was my instructor, Simon. He was friendly, patient, and incredibly supportive throughout the day. His clear explanations and calm approach made me feel comfortable and confident. I was initially unsure about booking the course, but looking back, it was the best money I’ve spent in a long time. I now have a solid understanding and some practical experience, which has really helped me prepare for my upcoming CBT in under two weeks. Huge thanks to Simon for his excellent teaching—what an absolute pleasure it was to learn from him. Highly recommend this course to any new rider! 10/10- had a brilliant time and learned from great instructors. CBT achieved and will be returning to get my big motorcycle licence with them in Cwmbrân I had the perfect completing my CBT! I’d never ridden a before, but the whole day felt more like a relaxed, fun day out rather than a test. There was absolutely zero pressure, and everything was explained in a clear and patient manor, With a fair few laughs along the way, Simon the instructor, was brilliant – friendly, supportive, and made the whole process enjoyable from start to finish. I came away feeling confident and with a big smile on my face. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about doing their CBT with Simon, I will 10% be returning to these guys for my full licence! Both instructors are incredibly patient and accomodating. Kris took me out for my road ride, pure laughs all the way! Great feedback throughout. Will be using these for my DAS. If your in any doubt or nervous... Don't! I was and couldn't of wished for a better day. Only wish I did it sooner. Completed my new rider with Simon, followed by my CBT by Kris and Rhys. Following up having now completed my DAS and have my full licence. I completed my Rider Assessment (pre DAS introduction to the bigger bike, which is an option I would recommend) and then Mod 1 with John and Julian followed by Mod 2 with just Julian, passed both first time and that is purely down to the quality of the instructor and their knowledge, any question I had was thoroughly explored and answered as we went along. They try and keep you booked on the same for both modules to keep the continuity, I was using their Honda Hornet 750 (pictured) which was good fun and easy to get used to. See you out on the road! The environment was professional yet supportive, with a focus on safety and practical application. I felt well-prepared for both modules, and I passed with flying colors! Professional, friendly & knowledgeable instructors who focused on safety as well as ability. They quickly established different abilities within our group, and split us accordingly. I found them thorough and attentive and would definitely recommend them. Got my CBT as a new rider and the instructors were very knowledgeable, plenty of and very helpful in teaching the mechanics of bikes, running through demonstrations and building my confidence.
