Nádherné zrúcanina hradu Kapušany vďaka dobrovoľníkom ktorí sa oto starajú a dávajú ako tak do kopy aspoň niečo čo sa dá zachrániť Beautiful Kapušany is a built around the 15th century that once belonged to a noble family. The had a shape similar to a rectangle with dimensions of 35 x 20 meters and was founded on the easternmost promontory of the hill. Currently, it is a quite nice ruin with a tourist trail leading to them from the village of Kapušany. The trail is marked with green color, and there are two ways to get to the castle.” The climb is very long but worth it for the beautiful views. This is an awesome destination for a walk. You can either take the short route from Kapušany or the longer one, about an hour, from Fintice. The ruin itself is being reconstructed but there are guides with information there to help you if you need. There is also an awesome view soon the recently reconstructed tower. Kapušany in Slovakia is a nice place to visit, especially for those who enjoy nature and history. The hike to the takes you through a forest trail. Once you reach the top, you can see beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. If you're looking for a quiet and picturesque place to explore, Kapušany is definitely worth a visit! Ruins of old Fortification/Castle. Around 2 kilometers long hike steady but manageable climb - 280 meters of elevation. Not very busy, parking lot is free with plenty of space a little bit difficult to find when in village. is under reconstruction and you can buy ticket (1 Euro) which will take you to the top of the in the middle of the fortification complex which take whole top of the hill. Beautiful view from the top of the tower! There was an event at the castle, so it was very nice, with knights duels, medieval food, exhibition of birds of pray... The ruins of the are easily accessible from the village of Kapusany. Starting from the parking lot, it's just over a 5km/3.1mi walk in the forest there and back. Navigation is super easy, and admission is free, except for the main tower, which costs 1 € for adults and 0.50 € for children under 10. There is an infocentre/souvenir shop at the entrance, but it is closed during the winter season (the same applies to the main tower). Ongoing preservation works mean you will see scaffolding on many walls. However, the view from the is very nice, especially with good weather and visibility, making it worth a visit. Nice walking through the forest when approaching Kapušany castle. Steep hills but the final view of saris region is breathtaking. Most of the area is open to the public. Some towers are under reconstruction. Lovely forest walk to reach the from the parking lot. There were stunning views from the top - 360° panorama. Perfect on a clear sunny day. Still work in progress however a lot has been done already. The is tiny but the views from the are amazing!
