It's the perfect combination for a total body and mind reset. This place is a must-visit for anyone looking to relax and recharge in a beautiful, natural environment. We recently stayed overnight for glamping. room/tent – well equipped and beautiful. In fact, choosing the hill view room was much better than the lagoon view rooms, but surely you get more wildlife activity overnight. The staff were lovely and did their best. 5 stars for the stay! However, the hot unfortunately were not anything special. They are small and don’t have the capacity to accommodate all the guests – every bath was literally jam-packed. The operating hours are too short, starting at 9:00 and closing by 18:00. There are two baths available for overnight guests until 20:00, but one of them has no lights and is practically unusable. Another issue relates to the general rules in Australia, where people are allowed to bathe with clothes on. This is a serious hygiene concern, for example we saw a family using bathes with their cultural dress on from neck to toe, this was surely too much. Unfortunately, this will be our last visit to Peninsula Hot at any location. We tried Alba, and they have stricter hygiene rules, which are much more acceptable. Compared to Europe, where wearing any clothes – even swimsuits – in hot is not allowed, the difference in standards is huge and tells the whole story. Visiting Metung Hot was such a and rejuvenating experience. Surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, the are set in a peaceful environment that makes you feel instantly calm. Each pool had its own charm, with varying temperatures that allowed us to unwind at our own pace. The facilities are well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s only a short drive from town, making it very convenient, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil escape in nature. I’ve so far been to many hot in Victoria and NSW. I recently visited Metung Hot and while the setting is peaceful and the natural environment is great, there are definitely a few areas for improvement. Firstly, there’s a clearly lack of — you can find yourself walking a long distance between different sections, only to realize there aren’t that many available. Some parts of the site also appear unfinished, with construction still ongoing, which slightly affects the overall experience. The footpaths definitely need some attention — they’re not very barefoot-friendly, which is a big issue when patrons love walking around in comfort. Also, it’s quite a walking distance to the top of the hill. Adding a wet sauna would also be a addition to make the facilities more complete. Another thing to note is the location — it’s quite far away from any major cities. While that can be part of the charm, it also means attracting visitors from Melbourne or road trippers will be challenging. Given the current pricing, visitors may just stop by other places closer to Melbourne, which offer much larger and more complete facilities for a similar price. There’s a lot of potential here, but a few key improvements are needed to make. Went to Metung hot Springs, as a person on a walking stick, I might say, it is not a friendly place. Too many steps for a person with a stick. When we got there and purchased tickets, we were asked if we would like to get the buggy right to the top of the hill, where the buckets are. That was a help, but then we had to walk all the way down the steps, and back up another 20, to get to the kiosk again. The view and the buckets were good, the plunge pool was ok, not real cold. Then there's a fairly large pool, with seating in it, down near the lagoon precinct. It was ok. We spent about 90 mins there, and were definitely ready to go home. While we enjoyed it there, we won't really rush back there, as we thought it was just ok overall. Visited the hot and had the most beautifully relaxed time. The grounds are gorgeous and the different are so lovely to relax in. Changing facilities, towels, and robes are fantastic and well kept. The staff were all lovely to deal with. Overall a fabulous experience. I had a really here. I visited the Hot almost a year ago. I was lucky, and it was a really warm and sunny autumn day. I enjoyed the quiet in the morning during the weekdays. It was very relaxing, spending in nature and watching the ducks swimming in the lake while you sit in the Sauna. Clean amenities and surroundings. Everything is outdoors. There was one dome where you could relax inside if it's too cold, windy or rainy. Filtered drinking water is available. Had a visiting the hot today, beautiful spot with a variety of and a atmosphere. Just a couple of tips though (and feedback for the management, if they're reading!) ~ Towels & robe are not included in the entry price. This isn't really made clear when you book and means you're stung for another $25 when arriving if you want them. Could definitely be offered as an optional inclusion at a discount or for a package price when booking. You can BYO but not really practical if you're a tourist in the area. ~ My tip would be to take a robe to wear when walking between pools, then grab a towel from reception when you return to shower & change, that way your towel stays 100% dry & fresh! ~ The towel/robe hooks next to are not undercover, meaning if it rains they will get wet. This could be easily remedied by putting a roof over the hook area, so if it rains you can stay in the warm water without worrying about your robe or towel getting wet. This is a lovely spot, but in comparison to other Hot in VIC, there are few on offer. I know it's still a relatively new spot, but charging $65 (excl. robes & towels) for the few on offer is a bit steep. The design is similar to the Peninsula Hot Springs, and there is only about $10 price difference in the two locations, yet the Peninsula have so many more and relaxation areas. Metung, maybe lower your price until you're more established and have more to offer. The perfect place to unwind. We had the most and rejuvenating one night stay here. It was 100% worth the four hour drive from Melbourne on our way home. The grounds are so beautiful and full of native plants and wildlife. We saw an echidna during our stay and watched a possum eating flowers while we soaked in our private bathing barrels in the evening. We had a gift voucher to use for the Hot Springs. So we decided to use it and stay there on a Tuesday night. This was a perfect to go. There was us and only one other couple staying the night, so we had the place to ourselves. We were in a hilltop tent, which personally, we thought was better than the lagoons as its alot more private. From 6pm the guests have access to some for a further 2 hours. We made the most of this and spent that star gazing whilst lounging in the pool. What a and enjoyable way to watch the moon and stars. The "tent" is a cut above what you would normally call a tent, very fancy and comfortable with your own personal barrels on the deck for your private use. Filling them is an art but you soon get the hang of it. The nights are starting to become cold and the A/C did a job keeping inside warm. Overall the exceeded our expectations. Overall our (during the week) was fantastic, however I can understand some frustration if you were there on the weekend because it would be busy and the would be full. My recommendation (if life allows), go during the week, minimal crowds, quieter, and more relaxing. Yes it was expensive(for a tent) but the didn't let us down. Absolutely magical!! We took our 10 year old daughters for a well deserved family escape and it was perfect! My husband and I enjoyed some to relax together with no distractions, just quiet moments and the most spectacular views. The girls explored, we floated and it felt like we pressed the pause button on life for a while. Left feeling relaxed, recharged and so connected.
