For the quick-footed it takes 10 min from the parking, for the slow hiker like me, more like 20 min and for short legged individuals, like small children and dogs somewhere in between.The vertical drops of the trail are small. At this time of the year you better wear good shoes or Wellingtons and look out for icy patches. There was a decent amount of water in the river Venoge that runs through a narrow canyon before the cascade. Sadly it was impossible to access the stony steps facing the water-fall so I had to shoot my photos from the end of the wooden ramp. Very pretty after a looping set of stairs to reach the bottom. The stairs only lead to a viewing point and that’s probably best. It is clear that the area used to be open to explore/picnic/enjoy but with such popularity comes garbage and disrespectful behavior. So take your pics and enjoy the view but follow the rules! Every weather feels different here, and during our visit, we were fortunate to experience the enchanting ambience of rain accompanied by the soothing sound of waterfalls. It was truly amazing! I don't put 5 stars since I don't think there is as many areas to sit and enjoy and there are not as accessible as other places but overall great for a Sunday walk. It can be a bit slippery after rains. Wonderful with fresh and energizing water. Bathing highly recommended. Only downside: most people only come here to take pictures, some of them even photo shootings, and they don't seem to enjoy the place in itself but just the photo opportunity.
