A wonderful relaxed atmosphere with good food. We were visiting Hornberg because my 81yr old mother-in-law used to live here 60 years ago. It was a nice trip down memory lane and the best part may have been this cafe. It was late afternoon on a Friday and everything in this small village was closed! Everything, but this cafe near the small river in town. We had low expectations and this place surprised us with unique menu items , very tasty, and super kind and friendly service! We relaxed there in the shade for several hours and felt totally at ease. Thank you! Very friendly and help in trying to decide, even with my limited German. Had a delicious tomato soup with pesto sauce on toasted bread. Lovely open area and right by the river and Tourist Info. right across. Lovely bar in the center of Hornberg where we ate a delicious Schwarzwälder cake and had an espresso. Staff is very kind and the whole ambient is amazing. Definitely recommend! I had the homemade Black Forest Cake and soup. It was delicious and the was delightful. Best Black Forest Cake I have had!
