The was very popular with runners after parkrun, and we can see why, but even being busy the service was good. There’s a flight school there and some parked up aircraft. The owners told me about the story of the airfield, it was an RAF field in WW II, they’ve kept records of the field and the lost pilots. I flew in just shortly before they closed, so no hot food available. I went for a cappuccino and a scone (with jam and cream). Coffee was okay, scone was nice, tad on the pricy side at £7.20 for both items, so probably will go for something else next time I visit.
