Nice little Bay at the North end of Clevedon. You can access it via the coast path, or if you have mobility difficulties, you can park on the top road and down some steps to the path above the bay. Lovely place and friendly locals little bay tucked away. Not good access if you have mobility issues. Nice quiet place to relax. Would be nice to watch the sunset. You may need to make yourself a little nest moving few pebbles to sit for long as it can get uncomfortable. Went to Ladye Bay with a couple of friends the other day and honestly, it’s one of the best little spots I’ve been to in ages. It’s tucked away so it feels like a bit of a secret but once you find it you won’t want to leave. The down is with proper coastal views and when you get there it’s just this peaceful, rugged bay with cliffs, pebbles and the sea stretching out in front of you. We spent ages just sitting around, chatting and seeing who could get the best pebble throws. Classic competition obviously. Skimming stones, trying and failing to hit a specific rock in the and just generally messing about like kids. It’s got that kind of atmosphere where you can completely switch off and just enjoy the simple things. The looked so inviting that we had to get in for a swim. Freezing at first but once you're in it is amazing. Definitely recommend bringing shoes because it’s a bit rocky underfoot but the refreshing dip was totally worth it. What makes Ladye Bay special is how untouched it feels. No big crowds, no noisy distractions, just proper nature at its best. If you’re in Clevedon and want somewhere peaceful with stunning views it’s a must visit. Five stars easy. location, lovely beach, nice bouldering, quiet. We returned 6 years later and it is still lovely. New access stairs have been installed which are good and grippy. There is no sand, it has a large tidal range. It is muddy at low tide. The location is a sun trap on a winters afternoon. Leuk Maar niet bijzonder Peble/stoney which makes it difficult to on for people and dogs alike. I would recommend staying close to the stairs cause it gets more muddy the farther you go towards the water. Not a to swim or tan. But spot to watch a sunset. What a beautiful, peaceful, tranquil place! Small pebble beach, lovely walk, lovely views. Dog friendly. I love the nature and especially the sea/ocean it’s so healthy for the mind and spirit...this place is amazing Nice stone beach. Very quiet this of year, so perfect if you want to relax. The is a little bit small and has too much seaweed washed up, that's the only downside. The view from the rocks was and there is also a wooded coastal path just up the stairs and to the left. Great small cove. Good stop while on a coastal walk. footpath to hike along and a lovely little bay. cove a short drive from Bristol centre. Steep down to the but well worth it on a sunny afternoon. Lots of free parking on streets around entrance to the steps down to the beach. little bay. Pebbled beach, not very big, but all the same. Perfect for an afternoon rock skimming, exploring the rocks & rock pools or just chilling. Popular with families, dog 🐶 walkers & a perfect romantic spot to watch the sun go down 😉 Myself, hubby & son went on a Saturday, about 5ish, purposely to catch mid to high tide so my son could do some rock skimming! When we arrived there were a couple of small families, both enjoying family time, paddling & pebble building ☺️ Another couple were cuddled up, taking in the view & after an hour or so, were joined by another couple, friends of their's, who subsequently brought disposable barbeques & food to no doubt watch the sun go down. At that point I was envious, but didn't have to wallow in my own misery. I reminded myself of how it was here & how lucky I was to be able to spend here, free, nestled in the pebbles in my own 'bodily pit' that I'd made. (You really need to burrow your bum and head if lying otherwise the pebbles are bloody uncomfortable 😉😂) when a lady with a labrador puppy 🐶 came down to the bay. I didn't catch the dog's name, but couldn't help smile when he retrieved his ball, when thrown in the bay about 20 metres out.... Such a sweet boy.... I happened to say out loud how gorgeous he was when his owner said to me with a smile on her face not to say that out loud as her dog would be straight over to me, soaking wet... Need I go on?! 😂 After watching him retrieve his ball a good half dozen times & managing to avoid eye contact with said dog, there was one when he came out of the sea, ball in mouth, obviously soaking wet & happened to catch my eye first.... Over he came stopped a few inches away & much to his owners dismay, calling him repeatedly, he got rid of all the bay in his coat.... Over me 😂 My hubby must've known as he managed to capture it on video 😂 I personally didn't mind. I laughed & smiled & reassured the dogs owner that I wasn't offended in any way (I have to add, looking back on the video, the owners face was a picture! Horrified, then saw my reaction, followed by the biggest smile ever knowing I wasn't bothered!) It was a bit of & I soon dried out. The whole bay were laughing together which was nice as it felt quite intimate. Thus adding, this is a dog friendly bay, & also popular with local swimmer's & people of all ages.. Quaint. Fairly intimate. Quiet. Peaceful. Romantic. It is what you make it 😉 Very dirty these days. Not recommend for swimming. Picnics and dogs would be ok. This place is amazing you can take your dogs there and they will have an AMAZING well my dog did.
