Unfortunately visitor centre is currently closed but the various information boards outside and just seeing the barrage make it worth a visit. We made the mistake of not reading the website properly, we thought it said tours are in English and french. This is only the case by prior arrangement. We therefore had a french tour, which is understandable in France! The first 30mins were outside and was a talk about the history of the site/construction etc. we then went into the information centre and had a tour of the viewing gallery. It's a shame you can't just visit this on your own as all the info is in french and English and is really interesting along with videos and interactive displays. We spent 25 mins on this part of the tour.
