On a beautiful summer's day, Kinderboerderij Merenwijk, located in a picturesque area, is a lively and family-friendly petting zoo that felt full of life. Visitors have the opportunity to get close to horses, cows, pigs, and goats within the stables and pens, having a hands-on experience that is both educational and entertaining. Moreover, the facility is accommodating for smaller pets like guinea pigs and rabbits, accomodating some of these when their owners are on short travel. It's a perfect blend of community service and animal care done right. Great place to bring your there, given there's also a play area nearby with some slides and trikes for toddlers. There's a cafe in the area that does last orders until 4pm. It is a lovely place to spend a few hours. Lots of and you can feed them. Also it is a lot bigger than you think. The park to walk in is quiet and lovely. The stepping stone always like. The little shop has lovely food and the price is very good. We have been going here since the were 2 and still go 10 years later. A truly special gem! Even if you're not coming to feed the animals.. I especially love the little forest behind the farm. Rush ahead to see the piglets. I can't help myself Mooing and Behhhing when I go there.. even without the kids.. Oh, yea, one more thing, the Pikock loves ice creams I love this place. I live in the neighborhood and love coming here on weekends just to see the animals. You can walk into different buildings and see all the different cows, goats, and rodents they have. Plus you can pet and feed them. It's quite a nice escape from city life, and this petting zoo is kept very clean and tidy. A fun and wholesome place with lovely animals, I took my younger cousin out for a trip and she enjoyed it, you were able to pet the goats and there were places to sit down and eat, if you sit at one of their picnic tables I do recommend bringing a cloth or such, the tables were rather dirty since they're not from the restaurant A nice place for our toddler! My really love the place, but this time we didn’t see peacocks This comunity run farm has mentally/socially challenged volunteers. It is an amazingly successful project that has existed since the '70s. The entrance is free. There are all kinds of animals, big and small. The get a great impression of what Dutch agricultural life is like. There are 2 playgrounds, an apiary (bees), a caffe, a visitor's center and a gift shop that benefits the organization.
