This is a small but very informative museum. The ground floor houses the tourist information office and you can purchase cheese. The first and second floors are part of the museum which you pay for. It was reasonable value, more of a classic museum than the Gouda experience. There is a very (almost too much!) informative audio guide you can use at your own pace. The tasting includes three cheeses and was only €3 extra so was very good value. A gorgeous, centuries old city center, nice restaurants and terraces, museums, art galleries, Amazing canals, parks, architecture. Beautiful place and city, with every kind of you can think of! Some events also happen there with the kaasmarkt and some live entertainment. Great visitor centre and a really amazing museum upstairs. Well worth a visit.
