Perfect spot to stop on our travels. Lots of choice, yummy food & drink. Dog too! The were all so lovely, real family feel to the place 💕 Popped in for a drink. We were a bit on the late side, so drinks and cakes were the only things on offer. Not local to here, but stopped by as we were passing. The coffee was really nice. The tea was pretty good. The is a nice place to be. Slightly hipster but that isn’t a bad thing here. My wife and I stopped by this café before our climb to Yr Wyddfa. This was after reading glowing reviews here in Google Maps. It’s also close to Pen y Pass which really makes it the ideal pitstop if you are parking there! We arrived around 8:30 with plenty of seating inside and also outside. It was after the school holidays so it wasn’t busy though I can imagine that this café can easily become busy during peak times. was with locally sources ingredients. We had the large which had two of each of hash browns, sausage, eggs, toast, tomatoes and bacon, with a bowl of beans. We had a great, chat with the owner’s wife who was at the till, and who lives locally in the nearby town of Betws-y-Coed. The café has views by the window tables. Prices are reasonable, atmosphere, service, clean toilets. parking too. Highly recommended. Dietary Needs/ALLERGY BEWARE. they sadly haven't a clue/don't take the care. After 6 hour round trip up Snowdon and back we were very hungry. Saw this Café at the side of the road. Claimed to have a breakfast. So felt confident they could Accommodate. SO WRONG. We ordered two breakfasts (she did swap the hash browns for chips) and two Chai lattes with OAT MILK.(Which I asked if they could be vegan.. told yes with oat milk) The is cute with plenty of space and comfy chairs. The drinks arrived. FIRST SIP I could tell straight away it was COW MILK. I went to the counter and asked if it was and the guy making drinks confirmed... That the owner... Ayesha had made a mistake. And put cow milk. He didn't even apologise but made a new one. I sat in my chair and did all I could not to burst into tears I felt Violated.. having been for 8 years for ethical reasons... I was heartbroken I'd been given a non product. The second cup arrives.. What was served was disgusting and tasteless and I had to add lots of sugar just to make it drinkable.... (I should've just got a refund as it wasn't cheap) Once again not customer service no apologies... Just put infront of me and walked away. Then the "vegan" shows up. Which in the picture you can see was served with toast with.... BUTTER!!!! an animal product. The friend I was with challenged this.... 'Why would you even put butter on a plate for a breakfast' we were once again told this was an oversight... Another mistake. Upon leaving we were chased by the owner who wanted to apologise she was nice.... Claimed they owned 10 businesses locally... I personally believed they should then KNOW BETTER... She asked if it was an allergy.... To dairy. I said no and she said 'oh ok then'. ....well no it wasn't ok. It's an ethical choice.... And moral stance... Veganism is a protected belief system by UK law. I mentioned how the chai latte is Not good. She told me that because she used a Chai teabag... Instead of the mix as the mix has milk in it. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I told her she should've been honest and checked with the customer first as id have got a refund and ordered a tea instead. I'm not sure how they have 10 successful businesses as they totally lack care and attention. Turns out with stayed at her air BnB the night before.... Above her restaurant ABBASSI'S in Betws-y-coed. Where we were warned it was above a busy restaurant.... But we pointed out the shouting and crashing pot for over an hour after closing and slamming the front door was less than ideal. We suggested providing free ear plugs.... She didn't like this idea as said people might be put off by them.. we pointed out the guests would be grateful. Luckily we brought some. So as a whole I just wouldn't trust this place if you have any dietary needs or allergies as they WILL mess it up. Nice to see that this has reopened. Welcoming and a very nice breakfast. for hikers and photographers looking for a good meal in a atmosphere. Nice cafe. Food was to an OK standard. Clean, dog friendly, strange kinda music playing but food filled a hole nicely for an ok price 😊. Pic was a mixture of 2 different breakfasts, some extra bits on there and some bits not. I’m attempting to write an unbiased review, acknowledging the previous owners’ high standards, quality food, general ‘ambience’ and the love that many people have for the place. I’ve read most, if not all of the reviews since the new owners have taken over, and it makes for ‘interesting’ reading as reviews fluctuate quite wildly between excellent….and not so excellent! I’ve visited the place many times through the years, and loved it, so it was with some interest I popped in during the last week on three occasions for a bite to eat. (Coffee and cake twice, and a veggie breakfast). I have to say that the place looks lovely, it’s bright with attractive décor. The were very friendly, and the food and service was excellent. It will of course take time for the new owners to build up a reputation, and perhaps they’re well on the way to achieving that now. These things don’t happen overnight, but I wish them every success for the future and look forward to my next visit. Thank you! A must if you’re in the Capel Curig area! location, extremely dog (Twiggy says the sausages are DIVINE!), and are always very friendly. Large open floor plan which means we always have ample space to ourselves. I've been going to Wales for many years and have always been very fond of this lovely cafe. Unfortunately the full English wasn't very good at all. The sausages where watery and the mushrooms tasted old. Also they have painted the benches outside pink ?
