Despite their busy schedule, Francesca kindly welcomed us and guided us through a wonderful experience. The were excellent, and they also serve lunch, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. Together with Riccardo, the owner, they hosted us warmly. Highly recommended! Our of the Castel Di Salve Winery and afterwards was the absolute highlight of our stay in Salento. It was fascinating to learn about the process of making and was very informative. The was huge fun and so lovely to try so many different vintages. To top it of we were lucky enough to the most delicious dinner at Castello Winspeare afterwards. Cannot this wonderful run winery enough it is an absolute must for anyone in the area! We dropped in without a booking & were made very welcome by Lucia. She was very knowledgeable, took us through the winery, showed us where the grapes are crushed, the vats, bottling process. After that we tasted some lovely wines, each one explained to us. The owner Francesco & son Riccardo joined us on the room. We had a really enjoyable few hours chatting with them learning about the history. The has been making for 5 generations. Highly recommend. It was the highlight of our time in Puglia and Salento, aside from the beaches which the were kind enough more. The lunch was incredibly fresh and the was delicious! We would this to all in the region. Absolutely one of the best tours we have done. Beatrice was incredibly knowledgeable and has a real passion for her work. We also met Francesco who shared some great stories. To top the off, the was fantastic. Lilly the little Jack Russell was very cute. We had an amazing tour, one of the best if not the best we ever had. The history of the place is super interesting! But ofcourse we came for the and they are amazing! To top it off the is very welcoming and knowledgeable. It felt as we are visiting friends. Go there you will not be dissapointed. A wonderful experience! I had the pleasure of attending a at the picturesque Castel di Salve. The was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the expertise of our sommelier, Carolina, and the warm hospitality of Riccardo, a member of the owning family. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming Carolina who showed me the stunning views from the back of the winery with views of the vineyard and a beautifully set room. Carolina's deep knowledge and passion for were evident as she guided us through each tasting. I would highly this experience. We had the best doing the & with Ricardo! We were 7 people and had the together with around 5 other people, which was a perfect little group. We got to do a of the vineyard, processing facilities and the barrel cellar. Then we got to do a of around 6 in the courtyard which was so cute, and in the shade. Even though we did the at the hottest part of the day, it didn’t get too hot.
