Not pleasant to site outside with constant yapping of dogs which seemingly does not effect their owners 🙄 or they are totally deaf 🤔. Not a site I would visit again regretfully. Quiet and very structured campsite. The sanitary facilities are very clean. There is no supermarket on the campsite but there is a small bakery. The camping pitches are very large. The beach is a maximum of 5 minutes' walk away. It's as charming as a parking lot. But the amenities were clean and the staff extraordinarily friendly. It was a perfect location for our family holiday. Nice, quiet, but still central, only a 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. The chalets we stayed in were clean and well equipped. We were definitely sad to leave and hope we can visit next year again. The camp itself was super clean, had several playgrounds for our child and also an indoor swimming pool (just in case the sea was too cold) which we tried once. We haven't had time to try their animation programme for kids because we had other plans. We had an amazing time. But you can also stay at one of the sweet Duin houses or brand new mobile homes. The service is fantastic and the rest rooms and wash houses clean. Only the animation and the playground could use a little upgrade. (For kids in the age of 2-5 it's great) I strongly advise against supporting a company like Molecaten! Horrible experience of discrimination and disrespect!! After making a reservation and payment under my own name and using my personal bank account, I received a message asking which company I represent and whether I was coming for work or vacation. I was shocked and thought it was some kind of mistake. I clarified everything that my mother and I were coming for vacation. Upon arrival we were confronted again with the same question. Without any respect they rudely kept asking my mother whether she came here for work or vacation. She was absolutely shocked. I asked what they meant by "worker." They answered in a very arrogant way that workers are those people who travel together to factories and that this kind of people are really not welcome at all and that they simply throwing them out onto the street. Later they said also that vacation for 21 days is very suspicious. Thats weird right? So why they offer that actually? For no reason we were treated as unwanted guests throughout our stay. For several days the temperature in the cabin was a constant 12°C which was not pleasant in the cold November days and nights. We asked at the reception if they could look into it. They replied that it was the way it is and that we need to move in the cabin. Also we discovered that our pillows had become moldy and that there was mold in every room. We went to the reception to report it. Without any apology the receptionist told us that a cleaner would come to swipe it out. How disgusting! Fortunately we later managed to get a new cabin. Never again! Of course I am currently escalating this very unpleasant experience to the relevant authorities and I hope that Molecaten will face consequences for their inappropriate behavior. I am glad that many of my Dutch friends are motivated to help me with communication with the authorities because they are very ashamed and consider this behavior absolutely unacceptable.
