Beautiful course, in great condition and very reasonably priced when playing with a member. Friendly staff in the pro shop and restaurant. Recent rain has greened it up a lot and the course is well maintained. Some cracking views of the Jurassic coast, not an easy course if the wind is blowing, which it often is. Nice course, greens in great condition, (unlike my swing!) Was hosted by the seniors section and was given a very warm welcome. A wonderful day ! Played it in early Oct., course was brilliant, ocean view on several of the holes, rolling hills, sheep & livestock in the backdrop. Course didn't really look that hard, but with the wind it sure did play that way. Lots of deep rough to avoid, a few stone walls to avoid, greens were in good condition. Will definitely want to play again when back over next year. Worth the trip. A Golfer’s Paradise! This golf club is truly top-tier! The greens are absolutely spotless—immaculately maintained and a joy to play on. Add to that the stunning views that surround the course, and it’s a dream setting for any golfer. Every hole offers a perfect blend of challenge and beauty. The peaceful atmosphere and attention to detail make this place unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back! Warm welcome, fab breakfast and service (we’ll forget the coffee spillage lol). Great course in excellent condition, tight fairways with some challenging par 3s, the signature 8th is great! Greens ran well and are all challenging in various degrees. And what about the views. A gem of a course, for £30… bargain! Will return! A real gem of a golf course. Played a society day with some of the members here at Bridport and west Dorset golf club, and I must say what a lovely lovely club. Members were so welcoming and friendly, the bar staff were great too. The course itself played very well, greens were fantastic, a very picturesque course with a mixture of challenging holes, obviously links style with some blind shots and tricky slopes just off the green, but forgiving enough that wayward tee shots have a chance of being found! My highlight was shooting a birdie 3 on the stroke index 1 15th, then bombing a drive on 16th, 4 of the best series of shots I hit all summer, followed by 4 of the worst strokes I’ve hit for a while to blob the 16th hole😅 The meal afterwards was amazing too. Compliments to the chef and his team! Thanks again for Alan and Kevin for showing me the way on the day:) absolute gentlemen. Absolutely superb roast carvery, meat was cooked to perfection, sides were so flavoursome, the host Sally was attentive and friendly and the carver Robin was organised and knew how to slice 😁, definitely recommend...very fair pricing as well ♥️ Played three rounds here this week and enjoyed them immensely (despite being held up by 2x4 ball groups during my first round). The views from the cliff top section of the course are absolutely stunning (16th tee was overlooking where I stayed). The stunning par 3 6th hole was a joy to play and was visually perfect. Although the course was in great condition I’ve only given it 4* due to the greens being recently scarified (time of year, not a criticism) so they weren’t running true. A big thanks to the warm welcome I received from the pro shop staff, the clubhouse staff and some of the members I came across on the course. I look forward returning to BWGC in the near future, again a big thanks to all.
