A good place to bring friends to dine out. Superb menu choices. Beautifully cooked to order. Excellent table service. Very personable and friendly. Plenty of parking accessed over a narrow bridge. Garden seating area. Wi-fi did not want to play. Really welcoming, a small of food but well put together. The portions are healthy & the food is really nice. Not a bad of beers & ales, also including a good of 0 alcohol beers. I would it, it's wise to book in advance too. My family took her out for an 0 birthday. The were so accommodating of helium balloons and allowed a birthday cake to be bought in. The meal was superb and they also catered for the needs of mum who has dementia. The was without being intrusive. The food was served without a long wait. There were 10 of us and we all loved it. Thank you for helping to make my day so special We came to have dinner here after there not being any room at our local pub nearby our holiday stay - and we’re so glad we did because it was one of the best pub meals we’ve had. A few weeks ago, we went to The Hinds Head in Bray - a Michelin starred pub with similar pub classics, and Thimble Inn was at a much higher standard. I would go back for the gravy alone! And the were really and accommodating too. recommend. (We were also given veggies which are not pictured) Been several times but this was the best. The atmosphere is really and love the low ceilings everywhere. The were young and very and efficient. The food was really nice, good specials and severed in good time bearing in mind it was Easter and full, didn't have to wait any longer than a normal visit. Would the Thimble for a real country pub eating experience, thanks to everyone A find in the middle of the countryside. were all very pleasant and welcoming, as we opened the door we was greeted with a smile. The roast dinner was perfect and a very large portion. It’s not often I struggle to eat everything but I did on this visit. We sat in the beer garden and it was really peaceful, the perfect location. We will be back… little place in the countryside. Not quite a gastro pub, but more a traditional pub food with lots of winter warmers and plenty of food on your plate. The place can get very noisy with even half the tables full so much so it drowns out the background music. We had a family get together here and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, and tasty food. Would recommend. Dog friendly. We had a fantastic time. Fantastic fish, meat and vegetarian options and gluten free friendly. Second visit for Sunday lunch following on from last year. The best Sunday lunch I've ever had, choice and fabulous taste. Very popular so book in advance, you won't be disappointed. Had the beef and lamb combination, plenty of meat on the plate with a of vegetables to compliment, no sparing on the gravy either. Had the strawberry sponge and custard for dessert. recommended We booked for lunch as it was my parents Wedding Anniversary and we all had a time. atmosphere, hosts and staff. We ordered the Thimble Pie which was a choice of Steak and Ale or Chicken, ham and leek that day which came with mash potatoes or chips and mixed vegetables and gravy. Both pies tasted fab. We would the Thimble Inn. This is the best pub we have been to in years. The were incredibly and friendly, the food was impeccable and our doggy had a snooze after a long day of walking. If you’re visiting the area make sure you book ahead to secure a table at this place for a meal! I had both the specials, poached mussels for starters and crab linguine for main. These were absolutely gorgeous in both flavour and presentation. The portions were very generous with plenty of mussel and crab meat. My husband had the pie of the day and mash (steak and ale) which he rated very highly. We shared a chocolate brownie for pudding which was melt in the mouth decadent. Even the little details like the properly made chocolate sauce and garnishes were spot on! But the whole experience was wrapped together with a nice bow thanks to the cosy atmosphere and the very team who made us feel welcome and valued as customers. The manager was even dishing out dog treats to the four legged customers in the bar area, and this on a busy Saturday dinner sitting. Can’t rate this place enough, and will be back for sure next time we’re in the area! Thank you Thimble Inn! <3<3 This is one of the best pubs/restaurants I've ever been too. The building itself is full of character with a cosy vibe but still quite spacious. The location is beautiful with a stream flowing next to it and a outside space. The we received was excellent with friendly, and hardly any waiting time for the food. The food itself was absolutely delicious and of fantastic quality. We couldn't fault anything with our meals or our overall experience, I would coming here and we will definitely become regulars. Came for dinner as recommended by our Air BnB host and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere was great, the were amazing and the food was incredible! Huge thanks to Sophie for being so and whilst serving us. Sad we don't live closer, as I'd love to try the whole menu! Thanks for a fabulous evening :) pub, amazing food and superb service. We had a dinner, the lamb chops and ham, egg and chips. Both were delicious, and big portions. The pineapple chutney with the ham was a burst of flavour - I’d eat a tub of that alone it was so good. Service was really kind and attentive. There was a beautiful big dog at the bar when we arrived so I assume it’s also dog-friendly 🐶 We had an amazing Golden Wedding Anniversary for my in laws this Saturday just gone. The team couldn't have done more. From organising from the beginning, to the day itself. The food was impressive, lots of vegan/gf and veggie options which was very important. Such a varied menu and all absolutely delicious. Some real foodies to impress in the party, and they were suitably impressed. The front of house team had it nailed with regular checks, food all arriving together, drinks never empty before someone spotted. Kind, smiley and confident waiting who had the whole party at ease and able to enjoy the day. My mum and dad in law had the best day and we are all very grateful for doing what this team obviously do best. It was brilliant and I will be telling everyone. A new find and we are very impressed. What an utterly fabulous place. Thank you Team Thimble. The Thimble Inn is FAN-TAS-TIC. We made a booking for 10. We were taken to our table immediately and all given menus. The food arrived all at the same time for starters, mains and desserts which is fantastic as there were so many of us. The food was exceptional and presented and the waiters were and amazingly helpful. We were asked throughout if we needed top up on drinks and if everything was alright and even when we needed the bill- despite being busy they were fast. Comfortable seating and environment. Lively atmosphere with a very cosy feel. Food fantastic, and terrific. Thank you for a evening! 😋 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
