I even ordered some wines and meads on line to send to my family in Alicante so I would not carry it with me the rest of the Camino. They do shipping to other countries in Europe. Spaghetti bolognese hit the spot, and the seafood paella was also delicious-just the right size for 1 person. Porch at the back offers a great place to relax and enjoy the view (see photo). We could have an early dinner at 5:00 pm too! Didn’t have to wait until normal dinner time. Don’t miss this gem! I cannot say enough good things about this place. I had breakfast and lunch there. I met the owner and her son on my 2 visits. They are warm and inviting people as is the restaurant. My dinner was phenomenal. I ate so much and I still did not finish it. Topped off with blueberry cheesecake and tea. Wow. Like heaven. If you are on the camino in Ventosa walk up the hill it is on the street beneath the church. I arrived in ventosa early and the young man let me stay on their patio for a few hours before my alburgue opened. Great place.great people.great food thank you A stylish place in a small town. It is spacious, clean, delicious and really friendly. When I asked for hot water, he added lemon juice to the hot water. I appreciate the kindness. We took a detour just off the Camino route to head into this little village for lunch and we were really pleasantly surprised. The lovely lady who has taken on the business served us a lovely three course lunch, fabulous salad, chicken meal, tiramisu and drinks for under €20 each including a bottle of Rioja from the vineyard next door and a beer between 3 of us. The road to the restaurant takes you off the Camino at a stretch where there’s a busy main road and instead is is a pleasant stroll through a little arty walk that’s been created to the bar and restaurants area. We really recommend taking the detour - it was only a short stretch back to the Camino and clearly signposted from the restaurant. We had a small detour to Ventosa and ended up in the cutest place - the Bar, it was such a pleasant and cozy stay! We had a small tasting and presentation about local honey by a young local senor. This must be the best honey I have tasted! 🤤 Such a nice treat!
