Great camping car park site with huge pitches, not all appear to have electric, facilities a little dated but adequate, lovely and peaceful Didn't stay here but looked around. However google direction is WRONG. camping Municipal is down by the tannerie 2 mins away It's ok. nice walk into town for a drink 🍸 & food 😋 A big sign at the entrance about the pilgrims route to Santiago and then they close the campsite from the end of August. Municipality of chateau Renault, mai and September (and even early October) are ideal months for cycling and hiking! This camping has nice and relatively spacious camp spots. The campsite is located right next to the town of Chateau Renault, where you can have a nice meal in the town square or get some bread in the morning. Our one night stay was pleasant and very affordable.
