I lost my wallet and the found it for me😫 Top. I came here with my three kids ages 6, 4, and 2 years on a warm August 2022 Sunday afternoon, not knowing exactly what to expect (I was visiting the Black Forest from the Kaiserslautern area for a few days, and wanted to stop at Titisee on my way back from Todtnau to Triberg). I had a few lake-side destinations in mind, but when driving along the road approaching this destination, I thought it looked perfect, especially as there was a large parking lot directly across the street. Unfortunately, as I pulled into it, it was full, BUT the very nice man directing traffic in and out of the lot saw someone walking to their car and suggested I wait, and thankfully I got a spot within a few minutes. I parked, paid for a few hours at the Automatic kiosk, and put the ticket on my dashboard. We walked across the busy street at the pedestrian crossing and into the entrance to the beach. I was expecting to have to pay, but there was free admission, possibly because it was Sunday? We immediately hopped on line for food as we were starving, which took about 15 minutes to place our order then another 5-10 minutes to get our food (nuggets, fries, and a pretzel, though we got the pretzel immediately). The restaurant itself is really just a food kiosk, where you order your food at the window, then go into the side room to pick it up, where there is also basic swimming items for purchase (water toys, swim diapers, etc). The staff spoke English well. There were several picnic tables and benches and LOTS of lawn, so we spread out our blanket near the and dug in. The food was fine, nothing to write home about, but nuggets and fries never are. The area is small, maybe 50 meters wide, and roped off, and the water was surpisingly not as cold as I expected; we spent about 45 minutes in the water before we got cold. There was a children's water pool directly before the beach, which my kids were less interested given the access. There is a very large lawn along the side of the property with a playground and ample room for tossing a football or frisbee. There is a building with indoor bathrooms, and it looked as though it led through to the other side of the building, but I didn't go through (something tells me there may be a lot there that we missed). There were also desginated changing rooms, which I didn't discover until after we had changed in the bathroom. We spent about 2 hours here in total, and had a great time. It was not nearly as crowded as I would have expected, but perhaps that it just because there is so much room for people to spread out. The atmosphere, setting, and backdrop of the place is just wonderful, and with so much to do and food to eat, it made for a wonderful afternoon. Bring food/snacks if you don't want to eat the kiosk food, water, towels, a blanket and/or chairs, and sunscreen as it is very sunny (though there were shaded spots to spread a blanket out).
