Great to see the farm, putting on some 👻 Halloween 🎃 fun in the village. I assume they put this on during October. Pumpkin picking 🎃 plenty of parking 🅿️ on field/grass - where your wellies recommended (I got round in trainers, but....) A lovely hat bale hill, covered seating area, mini rides, food, coffee vans and the tractor 🚜 ride 😁 the kids 6/8/12 all enjoyed it! Some of the rides were toddler age rated 💪 The smashed burger and jacket potato were pukka! 🤩💪 Access was ok, but could be difficult in wet weather ☔ We'll be back next year, but also into your soon and thanks again for putting this on! ❤️💪🤩 Great produce. Both the cooked and fresh meats are excellent quality. The cafe is always busy but we haven't tried it yet. We got our turkey and ham from them last Christmas, they were fantastic . Stopped here to buy a treat for our dinner. It’s a so the high prices are a given. The quality of produce was great. I got jerked chicken legs which came in a foil container for the oven and it was delicious. Good quality chicken and a generous portion size. Lots of options if you’re having a barbecue and also some fancy prepared meats. Pies, sausage rolls etc, some ready meals, bakery items such as biscuits, but not as many options for you if you’re veggie, vegan or don’t eat red meat or wheat. Will pop back next time I’m in the area for another treat dinner. My only criticism was that I cycled here and I couldn’t find anywhere to chain my bike. Welcome stop after 4hrs on the bike. The adjacent is brilliant with locally sourced fresh produce......5stars Called in for Breakfast in the new cafe area, which is nice, had breakfast which tasted nice but we felt was over priced, Poached Egg and Avocado on toast came with 2 eggs, 1 slice of toast, Avocado, half a mushroom and half a tomatoe.. £10.95!!! Best bacon sandwiches in town! Takes a while for food to be prepared but it’s very fresh so worth the wait Our favourite shop, an excellent selection of products to take away and great value for money. We love the events and additional services they have such as their Christmas tree sales, pumpkin patch and cafe! Been in a few times. Lovely little with great produce. The only let down is the staff.. the younger staff are always lovely and smiley, but the older ones usually look at you like you’ve just farted on their grandma! I feel like walking back out when I walk in because I don’t feel welcome. Bought veg that was old and floppy a couple of times. I was charged almost £10 for 500g of lamb mince a while ago. My mum went in the next day and I told her to ask how much it is and she was told £14 per kg.. so I was overcharged! Haven’t been back since. I have also seen some of their replies to people online which are very rude. I don’t know how people that mardy can have a business in hospitality. A smile costs nothing!
