The lakes are brilliant the down side was the pub is a Turkish restaurant now and not very friendly or socialable would not eat there If you're reading this then you are looking to fish Hayfield. Everyone I met there was bursting with pride about the complex and you could hear their passion for Hayfield and the future in their voice. What's there? Lakes full of quality fish in beautiful surroundings, a pub where the chef will tell you how he prepares not only a knockout breakfast but also how he prepares his pellets, the maver boutique tackle shop with the amazing Noellie ready to tell you everything you could want to know with a smile. Hayfield is top drawer, top class and also where I'm going back to everyone I get chance! "Wembley of fishing" - can't argue with that. Been ere a few times with my husband and 2 sons 14 year old 15 year old . Today has just been the best day ever me and my sons was catching 1 after another. Pub food was loverly they even made food for my fussy son that wasn't on the menu. Thank you all so much for a fantastic day.We will definitely be back next week. My favourite venue! Always a great welcome from knowlegable owners and great whatever the weather. Very peaceful in brilliant surroundings. I'd live on the bank if I could ! Unhelpful staff. Very rude toward my 14 year old son we will not be visit this place again. Plenty of other great venues in south Yorkshire with freidly helpful staff. Give it a big miss. I never caught very much. But the fishery was beautiful and well kept. Brilliant restaurant. Can recommend the breakfast. Staff very helpful just ask if want to know anything and they will help you if they can. Good for fisherman that's all you cannot even walk round the lakes Best fishery shocking The owners kicked us off for watching someone fish, was quite gobby and tight wasnt doing anything bad on it was just sat watching!! Unbelievable! Very well run by a friendly team who are more than happy to give you advice that could improve your day. Beautiful lakes, well stocked tackle shop and restaurant/bar. To be honest the place is beautiful but one staff was really rude. One guy was alright reminding it was a private car park so we parked outside. But there was this other woman telling us no photos allowed here when there were no signs warning and rudely shouting at us to leave for no reason. It is unfortunate that the first person you may encounter on your visit to Hayfield Lakes is the shrill and resentful old trout with anger management issues, apart from her the place is lovely.
