The food was good quality and the service excellent As it's a few days back and we've been celebrating my wife's birthday I've eaten lots of meals since then and my old memory cannot pin down what I ate. Suffice it to say that my bad memory must not detract from the quality of the food. My tip reflected that. So eat there with confidence. You won't regret it. Our 4th visit. Highly recommend staying in the lodge (there are 2 I think). We had a full day spa (which included lunch), an overnight stay in the lodge and breakfast included for a very reasonable price! The spa is perfect. Well kept, with friendly and helpful staff. There are drinks available or you can get alcohol etc brought to you. Loads of space in the spa and a great selection of saunas/steam rooms etc. We didn't have any treatments but they are available. Lunch was superb. Absolutely fantastic. The lodge was stunning. Very well presented and feels very special. There is a basic kitchen area so you could prepare things like baby bottles and a snack etc. The evening meal is the only aspect that we had any issue with, but this was minor and quickly addressed (to our satisfaction) by a very polite and apologetic person. The food was lovely though and again, reasonably priced! All in all, a place well worth a visit for that special occasion! I had an exceptional here. Everything from the food to the service, from the spa and treatments, were really very good. We live locally & this is our first time to the spa but we will definitely be returning. We liked the smaller spa environment & that it isn't overbooked as some larger spas can be, which can ruin the ambiance. Reception made it really easy to book over the phone too & were very welcoming & informative providing us with all the information we needed both before, on the morning & as we checked out. I have noticed some negative reviews about responding to larger groups & noise as I go to post this. It's a spa & should be a tranquil, relaxing atmosphere. I was very happy that this is upheld by members. Some specific notes - The 2 course lunch was absolutely delicious as were the cocktails we had. I personally had a Winter Warmer treatment & was really impressed with the therapist & the treatment I received. Everything is very clean, new & tidy & are on hand at all times to keep it that way. Thanks all x The spa day that I recently had at Ye Olde Bell was to celebrate my mums 70th birthday. It really was a wonderful experience. The were wonderful, friendly and couldn't help us enough. From the around the pool, bar staff, waiting and reception, just a fabulous experience. The food was just beautiful too, aswell as all the facilities. I’ve been to Ye Olde Bell Spa and absolutely loved it! The were amazing – so friendly and attentive – and the spa itself is gorgeous. I really like the idea of the split spa, where you have an afternoon stay over and then the morning to relax, it made the whole feel even more enjoyable and unhurried. The only small downside is that they don’t currently offer smoothies, which I think would be a great addition to the menu, but hopefully that’s something they’ll introduce in the future.
