Good course, and tees are fluffy but I guess that helps with all the traffic it gets. Ok facilities, range and putting green. Not an old golf course but seems to be settling in well. Enjoyed it. Fantastic course for the money. Not pretentious or pretending to be something they're not. Course is in condition and the drainage is immense. When other courses are closing, or adjusting to winter greens, College Pines stays open. Brilliant course, the were lovely, big up to the greenkeepers. The fairways were pretty burned and very hard but to be fair we've had a lot of hot weather lately and this is a very sand based area so the water drains quickly. Played last week and unbelievably dry and clean I think that they advertise this as a course that plays and tees 364 days per year (closed Xmas day)? That makes it hugely popular during periods of bad weather when other courses may be on temporary / mats or even closed etc (like most of this year so far)! The course itself is quite long for the average player, with some nice holes. Given the number of people on the course, pace of play is ok. The clubhouse is very welcoming and although we didn't eat, the menu looked very tempting. Definitely a place to go when your own course is wet.
