Fabulous coffee, superb selection of food (try the harissa chicken flatbread), and great service. A must if you're this way and looking for lunch. Highly recommended. Had a beautiful breakfast here. Service was quick, very polite and welcoming staff. Lovely place to have breakfast or lunch, very tidy and well maintained. Food really fresh and delicious. Definitely will come back. A lovely cafe. We have tried to visit a few times but often very busy. Today we were in luck. We had a sandwich and drink each, the food was delicious. Great choice of food and drinks available. Very friendly and welcoming and a lovely atmosphere. Highly a visit Remote, peaceful and great food. Sat outside in the seating area for some lunch. Great space for the dog to relax. Definitely We had a lovely lunch at Rectory Farm Kitchen! The was incredibly nice and friendly. I to make a reservation, as inside was completely full when we arrived. Luckily there were still tables outside we could sit at. Despite there being quite the amount of wasps it was still nice to sit outside (once a table inside was free we were asked if we’d rather stay inside, but as the sun shone we decided to stay outside). The food was very good! I the mezze platter with lamb kofte or the harissa chicken flatbread! We finished it before I could take pictures :) This place was fabulous. Lovely food and great service. However, it is in the middle of nowhere, is quite small and unlike other farm restaurants only had a small selection of things to buy so it's mostly about going for food and then home again. Having said that I'd definitely go back. No one tried to push us out or make us feel like we were taking up a table they needed so from that point of view they're very welcoming and accommodating. The remoteness is really my reason for 4 stars. It's not the kind of place you'd just come across on a drive out. We recently hosted our daughter’s first birthday celebration at Rectory Farm Kitchen, and the experience was exceptional. The food was of an outstanding quality, beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyed by all of our guests. The were consistently polite, attentive, and extremely helpful, ensuring the event ran seamlessly from start to finish. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed and would highly Rectory Farm Kitchen for any special occasion. We’ve been here a number of times and it never disappoints. The service is always very quick and the are on the ball. The food is always very fresh and there is a great range of options. I would booking as it has become very popular. Although on our most recent visit we didn’t and the guys still managed to squeeze us in. All round would highly recommend!! My Dad and I came here for afternoon tea. It was delicious with a delightful selection of sweet and savoury treats. The highlight was probably the summer fruits Posset and the scones with sublime lemon curd, however every item on the platter was of very high standard and I believe all home made. The coffees were very good and with afternoon tea you can reorder again and again - if you have room! If you only have a small appetite I would say that one afternoon tea platter would be enough to share between two as they are a generous size. The were very friendly and attentive, and catered well for a nut allergy by swapping out items from the afternoon tea platter for others which were nut free, and just as delicious!! Be aware that afternoon tea has to be pre booked and that booking is required at least one day in advance. After enjoying a meal with friends we went to split the bill and pay by card. We were told that, because of an internet problem, our payment hadn't gone through and so we paid again. When our credit card statement arrived we discovered that the payment had, in fact, been taken twice. There then followed two weeks of chaos as we tried to reclaim the overpayment. Although we were told that this had happened before, there was no procedure in place to rectify the situation. We were made to feel personally responsible for the problem and were asked to submit copies of our, and our friends, bank statements - which we did. We were then promised a re-imbursement as a token of 'good faith'. This never materialised and we were told that we had provided incorrect bank details . Obviously we hadn't. In the end, and with the café manager's knowledge, we reported the matter to our bank who have re-imbursed us and will treat the matter as a disputed payment. So our advice would be enjoy your visit - but pay by cash!
