I’ve been meaning to try a Wendy’s for a while now here in the UK. I’m on the road a lot but can find it difficult to park being in a lorry, but as luck would have it I pulled in for the service station then noticed Wendy’s behind so jumped at the chance to try it. The Baconator is currently on an offer of £1.99 (rather than £8.69) so went for that, naturally! I guess they’re hoping this will be the hook for a lot of people - I think it just might work! The burger was delicious 😋. I’ll be keen to try other items on the menu in the future, would be nice if they do regular promotions like this as it allows you to try it for reasonable cost. The restaurant itself feels and open, spacious not rammed in like a lot of these joints. There were only a few other customers yet my burger did seemed to take a long time. I know it’s nicer to have it freshly cooked however so guess it’s worth the wait. The restaurant itself feels room (toilet!) I used was inviting and clean. What a lovely place big light . You can order at the tills or on a screen . Great price, nice choice of breakfast food 😋. Staff is happy to have a joke with and chat while you're waiting . They don't rush you with anything. Makes a pleasant change, to say the least. Unisex toilets as well and again with lots of room. Food was served hot and fresh and to be honest one of the best burgers ive had at a fast food takeaway in a very long time. Place was and staff all friendly. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. Probably the best (fast food) burger ever. Prices are reasonable, given the quality (more expensive but much tastier than McDonalds), and a fantastic menu to choose from, including burgers, wraps, salads, etc. Free soft drink refills are available. Parking is ample and easy, and disabled access is good though the entrance door is manually operated. The only thing to let it down is the lack of heating. We dined in, but it was freezing, which spoiled the experience somewhat. Great spot to stop if you are on the road. Lovely clean, bright environment. Staff are friendly and service is quick. Great selection of food on offer, and everything tastes cooked fresh. Fries are crispy, Baconator just like I remember from trips to Wendy's many years ago! Please try this brilliant stop for a much much better burger than all the others, tasty jacket potato sides and brilliant Iced Vanilla Coffee. Lovely staff, who are always pleased to see my black labs when we come in. I Rate this a 3 stars because they forgot one of the kids toys in the kids meal, there was only 2 toilets there was sometimes a big queue for the toilet, there was no music for basically the hole time then the worker played some through his phone. To get there it's not very clear bcs it said wendys this way so we went the way it said and we were right in front of the wendys but the road we tried to go through it was blocked off still went through it tho ☠️ The kids toys were good tho it was little hard frosty toys almost got them all I was missing was the mango one there was a vanilla one a chocolate one a strawberry one and a mango one I will put a picture of the 2 I have right now Got some free hash brown given to me by the manager. Said they were going to be binned, so it was actually a nice gesture to be given them anyway. Served nice and hot to the required standard. And delicious main meal i ordered too. Will be coming back next Friday too!
