It’s best to visit the museum when guided tours are available – you’ll get much more out of the whole experience. The outdoor area is beautiful. Great atmosphere and quality art every time For me one of the must see in Finland... Come before 5pm and there is entrance tickets but one can go around outside for free also possible to rent rowing boats but very limited capacity.. Beautiful beautiful place!! Amazing place on the lake Tuusula. If you looking for some peace and quiet, extraordinary views - you can find it here! Lovely piece of Finnish history. Pekka Halonen’s atelier home is gorgeus and offers art exhibitions with different themes fron Finnish Art Golden Age 1880-1930 throughout the year. A superb artist museum that contains all the original furnishing (unlike Ahola). The changing exhibition was filled with stars and great artworka. It is a great museum with fantastic paintings and views. Worth to visit Great old made of girder. Home of famous finnish painter Pekka Halonen. This place gives you insights of the life of an artist in early 1900 Finland. The is beautifully laid out by the lakeside, has a sauna, and a garden where they used to harvest fresh fruits and vegetables. I totally recommend for a visit Beautiful place with a lot of history on vain upea paikka! Nestled atop a scenic hill overlooking a breathtaking lake, the Pekka Halonen Home Museum is a hidden gem for art enthusiasts. Step into the world of this renowned artist as you explore his former residence, adorned with original furniture, captivating artworks, and an extensive collection of books. The knowledgeable guide enhances the experience, offering insights into Halonen's life and artistic journey. The serene surroundings and picturesque views create an ideal setting for reflection and appreciation of art. A visit to this museum promises a harmonious blend of cultural immersion and natural beauty, making it a memorable destination for admirers of Pekka Halonen's work and art enthusiasts in general. Lovely artist home. Extremely well taken care of and were greeted by very friendly staff. We were also able to pick and take home nearby wildflowers Definitely worth visiting. A Finnish dream by the lake. Great views from second floor to the south, to the lake. Though all views from this estate are really classic Finnish. I need to visit this place every summer. A cozy, lovely place , makes one never want to leave. Kaunis ja mielenkiintoinen paikka. Ei ole esteetön. Portaita ja kynnyksiä. Beautiful place, wouldn't have minded staying a bit longer. Great artworks and architecture. It was very hot inside though due to sun all day and the being black 😁. Hyvä ruoka ja siisti paikkka, mutta asiakaspalvelu hidasta ja henkilökunta kyllästyneen näköisiä/oloisia Vi fick fin service på svenska både vid kassan och inne på museet, vilket gladde oss mycket!! A stunning location and a truly wonderful wooden house. The view to the lake is just fantastic. Very disappointed though to find that inside the they did not have many works of Halonen on display but instead lots of paintings and works from other Finnish artists painted whilst they had been in France. I visited hoping to specifically see and learn about the person who had lived in the house. I am not sure if I would have wished to pay the rather expensive entrance fee to see works from artists who are already on display in large museums in Helsinki.
