Hieno Almost in the centre of Järvenpää there is a very nice park, Järvenpään rantapuisto, Beach of Järvenpää. Especially during summer time, it is very popular place to exercize, take a rest or have a picnic. There are plenty of benches to sit, some of them having a table, too. There is a kiosk to buy ice cream and restaurant to have a beer. For skaters there is a skatepark and for children a playground. I think, it is possible swim there, too, but in my opinion the beach is poor for swimming - but it doesn't matter, beceuse if you wanna swim, you just have to walk a bit more, and there is a beach for swimming, Tervanokka. It is fantastic that there is in the city a place like rantapuisto just few steps from the centre square of Järvenpää. I'm a travel guide and want to share these beautiful moments with you! Decent for a city Center. You get everything here and the namesake view of the city. There’s an abundance of ice cream kiosks, a good restaurant, a bar, playgrounds, outdoor gyms, plenty of places to sit by the lake and around the and even a separate swimming beach for dogs! There’s also the iconic local art that has been sitting there for 30-something years that remind you of the McDonalds logo. The sandy football pit is used as a stage base for events and is frozen into a skating rink during winter, which is lots of fun. The gardens here are kept well and suit the scenery. Beautiful park, during the summer months there are couple ice cream vendors as well. For smaller ones there is large playground. Mediocre restaurant called Huili is also here. Whether it's day, sunset or night, it is a beautiful park. It thrives with people most of the time and while some see it as a minus, it isn't honestly even bad. It's the center of the city and it has a lot of stuff from the Tervanokka beach nearby to picnics, an ice cream stand, a large playground for kids and a skate park. The only minus there is is that it feels pretty empty as a lot of the land is just merely grass. On the other hand though, it provides a lot of space and isn't a problem big enough to make me 4-star this. TL; DR: Incredible place that has a lot of activities and people but feels a bit empty.
