Staff was helpful getting our group of five out all together Not too difficult course. Almost all holes straight forward without bunkers. Great golf club. Parkland style course with some tough shots. Not too much water hazards, but enough to keep you concerned on a few drives. Worth playing if in Oughterard. Played in May with society outing off yellows. Course in perfect condition and fast greens. Tea and scones afterwards were great. Staff in pro-shop and restaurant very good. Nice course visited for coffee, look forward to playing when back in Ireland next time. Played there a few years ago, with three other friends from Westport. We were very impressed with the course (even though fairways were parched dry from a dry spell) with greens in excellent condition, very friendly staff and fine dining facilities. Would highly recommend this gem of a place. Played on 30/12/24 13 holes open... Course a bit wet but expected with current weather.... I played from a mat that we at Derry use in winter months.... Might be worth looking into offering these to members as it would protect the course everywhere... I gave mine to a Member Brian Clancy who i played with.... Had a lovely toastie in clubhouse but also had a great selection of food available..... Love the course and recommend a visit especially as conditions improve.... Regards David Brady. I played here recently with my local golf society. The day started brilliantly with possibly the nicest scone I’ve ever had in a golf club. The weather was lovely and sunny and the course was a great challenge. The food afterwards didn’t disappoint either. I would highly recommend.
