This was a great random stop from the Cliffs of Moher headed back to Galway. The service is some of the best we've seen in Ireland. The food was all solid, there are no bad choices on the menu. We had oysters, steak sandwich, and the chicken burger. I'm writing this as I eat because I didn't want to forget to say how great the food is here! I had the steak sandwich on garlic ciabatta with peppercorn sauce and it's amazing! Service is friendly too. Parking is a plus! Excellent service..very good gastro pub food ....friendly atmosphere ..great parking .decent price point...great location not dar from city and en route to all the tourist attractions out the kinvara way and onto Clare We were craving oysters with friends — at 9 PM on a Sunday, in a quiet spot away from the crowds. And somehow, this place delivered exactly what we wished for. Even though we were a bit late, our oysters were waiting for us — fresh and prepared right before serving. The customer service here is truly one of the best in Ireland. So friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you for the taste and the care! We called ahead to reserve a table and asked about bringing our dog and we were told it would be fine. When we arrived, though, it suddenly seemed like a problem and we were moved from our reserved table into an unpopulated, poorly furnished side room, apparently on the owner/manager’s instruction. At least they still let us bring the dog inside, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that the waitress who confirmed our reservation might get grief for it later. The food was absolutely dreadful, reminiscent of hospital meals at best. Even the fish and chips, which you’d expect to be a safe choice, were bland and far from crispy. The (main) meals we're between 20€ and 25€, which isn't expensive but far from cheap. Considering the quality it felt like a ripoff, especially in comparison to all other pups i've visited in this country. On the positive side, the beer was excellent, and the service staff did an above-average job, they were attentive, polite, and quick. Unfortunately, the owner herself stood out in a less flattering way. After 20 minutes she came over, only to ask whether we had received menus... a question that showed she clearly underestimates her team, who had already handled everything flawlessly. A shame, really. Great drinks and great staff, let down by uninspired food and an owner who doesn’t seem to recognize the strengths of her own employees. We arrived for dinner around 9pm. The bar was buzzing with activity, but the hostess opened up an another dining room for our party for 6. The atmosphere was very Irish and the other patrons were friendly. The menu had choices including seafood, steak, sandwiches, and chicken wings. I ordered the mussels, which came as an appetizer or as a main course. Overall it was a good experience. Paddy Burke's on the Bank Holiday was very busy. Great atmosphere. There were 4 of us and got a nice private table. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We and our American friends were very impressed. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. It's very seldom you get to a place and everything from the music to the food was top notch. Could not commend this place enough on not only their food but the warmth and hospitality from the owners. Well done to everyone in Paddy Burkes. You are playing a blinder. What a gem of a place.
