We were slightly concerned with some of the poor reviews, needn't have worried! Large soft play area, great breakfast and very good value and lovely staff!! Super little cafe, dog friendly, even gave free doggy sausage. Cakes were excellent and all reasonably priced! Definitely worth a visit. Had a lovely experience here ..staff were helpful .food was really nice with a reasonable price too..there wasnt long waits either ,always a bonus in my eyes. Kids meals are a decent size .this is also a dog friendly cafe too very clean and is part of the amusements will definitely be coming back when we are over that way Food is absolutely disgusting panini in mabelthorpe translates to baguette seems like the chicken and bacon were made in a rubber factory both most likely suitable for vegetarians the tea was hot tho so not all bad Lovely little Cafe, Visited with my family September 2024 & liked it so much me & my partner went back twice in the week, Cakes, Breakfast & Coffees were all good, Staff friendly & helpful even when we needed a high chair they sent a Staff member off to get us one & brought it directly to our table, Didn't get a chance to checkout the Arcade or Soft play areas Went on a bank holiday so it was packed, so expected a bit of a wait for food, however dud not all come at the same time. Parts of the food was luke warm, very little cheese served with the sandwich, staff did not seem to care, poor dismissive attitude. Only one toilet open. Would not come again Had a lovely breakfast here. Decent price. Latte wasn't too bad. If you want decent food please DO NOT go here. Just basic not particularly tasty. Their idea of a panini is a baguette with filling in. AWFUL. The place and staff were very pleasant. The food was awful. Should have probably just had coffee and cake. Wouldn't recommend for food. This place has been home away from home. I grew up coming here, playing in the soft play area. I know bring my own children here and they love it. Food is always great. Facilities clean. Arcade games are varied. Great place to come to for a meal or just for a drink. Plenty of seats available for meals and also sofas for the laid back coffee drinkers. Is also pet friendly. I rated it this because the price is extremely expensive I would go there if it was cheaper but the food was amazing. Visited yesterday with my family. All I can say is would not recommend and would not visit again. The with the dark hair in a bun that was serving behind the counter was rude. She answered questions abruptly and in a manner that made us all feel uncomfortable and like we were being a bother. This is unacceptable as a paying customer. The food was cold and down right disgusting. There were flies flying all over the restaurant and no fly preventers/ stoppers in sight. The whole restaurant in general was filthy and the toilets were absolutely minging. Would rather eat off the pavement outside than in this building. Couldn't pay me to visit again either. Have been visiting for many years to stop for a coffee. Decided to visit today for food too and began to place my order with the at the till with dark hair. The that took my order was incredibly rude! Noticeably rolling her eyes at me and when my neurodivergent child was struggling to make a decision at the till she said “Hurry up; I’ve got other customers to serve” her colleagues looked mortified as she proceeded to go on to say “that got him moving” when he had made his decision. This was rude throughout, clearly was having a bad day and made the whole atmosphere uncomfortable for both customers and colleagues. At one point this shouted aggressively to “get more forks now” to a colleague and the whole thing was just very uncomfortable. So much so that I will not be re visiting which is a shame as we have been visiting here for many years. The that brought our meal out was lovely and the food was nice , just a shame that the actions of one clearly irritated employee has the ability to ruin it for everyone.
