We shared the lobster, giant prawns, calamari and some bread. Honestly wish we had ordered more. The potatoes that came with the were so crispy. The prawns were a little on the spicy side. My son ate all the calamari so I assume it was delicious. It does get messy so they do offer you a finger bowl to clean off your hands. One of the best food experiences I’ve had recently, everything we had was absolutely incredible! If anything I wish we could have had the entire menu because it all sounded amazing. The special oysters in vodka sauce with pancetta and crispy onions were the highlight. Can’t wait to go back again soon for more and more! An unforgettable experience at Linnane’s! Stopped in to Linnane’s Bar in New Quay around midday and was lucky to be seated without a booking — though I’d absolutely recommend calling ahead during busy times, as this place is deservedly popular. The was nothing short of spectacular. You can taste the freshness in every bite. I had that had been caught the very same morning — sweet, tender, and perfectly cooked. The shellfish platter was equally impressive: oysters, mussels, and crab, all fresh from the sea and beautifully prepared. Of course, everything goes down best with a creamy pint of Guinness, and Linnane’s pours a perfect one. I also have to shout out the brown bread — hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. Dense, nutty, and still warm from the oven, it was the perfect companion to the shellfish and chowder. The setting only adds to the magic — stunning views over the water and the surrounding countryside make it a joy to sit and linger. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is a gem not to be missed. Can’t wait to return! Such a great mix in this platter; fresh, juicy, and full of flavour! 🦞🦐🦪 The crispy potatoes were so tasty too. A perfect meal for a lover like me. Beautiful location, just right by the sea... Highly recommend! I love a good chowder and was on something of a mission to try as many as I could in Ireland on this trip. Linnane’s Bar served up the absolute best of all: smoked salmon, hake, haddock, cod, carrots, celery, rich creamy base. Brown bread (Irish soda bread) that came with the chowder was excellent. This restaurant was a random find. We just wanted to catch the sunset and we found this restaurant down the same road we happened to turn down. The oysters were absolutely memorable. Wow-just wow. The mignonette was so flavorful and was a great pairing. The chowder with the loaf/bread was incredible. Chock full of different and so delicious. The restaurant was in a picturesque location. The restaurant was really too warm but I suppose if that’s the worst thing-it’s really not worth a mention. The view was great and the food was fabulous. Our group had the steak, lobster, and platter for two. Steak and meals were perfect, the platter had clams, mussel's, shrimp, and lobster. I have had mussels and clams before and was not the biggest fan but these clams and mussels were out of this world. Changed my whole perspective on both. Don’t know if I’ll ever have as tasty or fresh (the were bringing them in from the ocean as we ate) clams or mussels again but wow!!! Some of the best oysters I’ve ever had. Grilled was delicious. To top it off they pour a fantastic and creamy pint of Guinness. Only thing missing was maybe some proper napkins…lobster got a bit messy 😅 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
