The restaurant has a fabulous of the chateau and so must be the ultimate place to dine (some would say the Penne ultimate, but I would challenge that). Lovely food, charming and helpful service and a to die for, what else can I say. I'll go again ...and again!! Just stopped for coffee there - nice welcome and good from terrace. Location is perfect but you must book ahead or you risk staring at walls. Food quality is very very average and service ok. This place has no competition so doesn’t have to try hard and so, they don’t. We found this place on Google Maps after reading reviews and photos when we planned our trip from our home in Ottawa, Canada. I'm so glad we did! The restaurant has a beautiful of the landscape and a nice open atmosphere. We had the 3 course "meal of the day" which was absolutely fantastic! Everything was delicious, well presented and perfect quantity. There was pregnant friendly options for each setting which was very nice allowing my wife to fully enjoy her 3 courses. Also, I don't think I have ever had a better starter soup. Definitely set a new benchmark for me. Staff are nice and welcoming. My wife is French but I'm English and the server helped me understand the menu, merci! Also the price and value is very good. Thank you to the servers and chef. Lovely views of the castle. We have been coming to this restaurant over the last ten to twelve years the is perfect, the service has always been delightful and the food is always tasty. They are also always very kind to tolerate our terrible French. Excellent! The location has to be one of the best! And the food and service were both impeccable! Unfortunately not to many vegeterian options, which weren‘t that good either. The meat dishes were apparently far better. Staff was friendly but could‘ve been more flexibel. Great and wine though.
