A gentleman came up to us that I would assume was the owner and just shared his heart about his love for the vine and the vineyard. There was a wonderful, warm connection. The staff shared the wines, bringing us bread and olive oil, then a little later some cheese and salami. It was an amazing experience, and the was delicious. It was a beautiful area. The was like nothing I've ever seen, and we went on a spontaneous tour. The history of the winery, how they loved on each of the grapes as individual plants versus growing them all together was very interesting and made such sense. My understanding is that they serve food with a reservation. If we were staying longer in the area, I would go back again. By far the best in Sicily, really loved it.
