This is one of those. I have had dinner twice at the Restaurant an den Buchen and both times were excellent. Booking a table was easy via phone, and the table was prepared when we arrived. The restaurant was crowded, but not noisy - the acoustics make it easy to have a conversation without having to yell. The cocktails are nice, and the wine list, although sparse, pairs well with the food on the menu. Beef liver is a hard dish to cook properly, but this restaurant does it excellently. So you can guess my favourite dish there. The steak is delicious and was done perfectly in medium rare as ordered. The dessert offering is also great, and I love the Heiße Waldbeeren. Great folks, very nice. They have a mini bowling place in the basement (similar to duckpin) One of the few places to get authentic swabian food. Had a great time talking with the owners. Excellent food and services. I'll be back for that tasty food! 💖 Reservation is recommended because demand is at high pace. Beautiful setting. Wonderful service. Amazing food. Speaks English and takes credit card. Will definitely go back. The owners Sally and Spencer were the nicest people and Spencer is an awe chef. We've been here three times and are always satisfied. Good traditional German food, good selection of beer, cocktails, and wine, friendly service, and relaxing atmosphere.
