The food was delicious! The tikka starter so succulent and the peshwari bread was delicious!!!! The only odd thing was delivery was due in ten mins time (1825) and it came 3/4 early! Fine for us as we were at home but not good if you are not ready for it! Nice food but we like spicy food they make sweet chicken. But its ok Got a takeaway while visiting the area. I eat a lot of curry and have done so all over the world. The flavours these folks have achieved are up there with the best curries I've ever tasted. 100% recommended. Absolutely the best Indian food in town. One of the best Indians I've ever eaten from. However they do not take cards. Which is a big deal for me so star marks knocked down. The member of staff had told me to go to the cash point in town and get cash. But both cash points were out of order. He was pleasant and trying to be helpful. I no longer carry cash and all transactions are now by card. You would of thought that all businesses these days would take cards considering that they are trying to phase money out. Parking is a little hit a miss as it is in a side street, however there is a car park within a couple minutes walking distance. To the owner. Please arrange to take cards. Then your 5 stars all the way. Had a few meals from here last night July 2024. Korai lamb and garlic chilli Balti. Absolutely fabulous, good portions, really flavoursome. Chicken and lamb dishes we had were fantastic, nice and tender lamb and chicken. Garlic naans and Mushroom rice was lovely. One of the best Indians I've had in ages. Reasonable cost as far as an Indian goes. Was ready to pick up at the time stated. Would go back no problems. Me and the wife had a takeaway from spice guru whilst on holiday great customer service and the chicken tikka and chicken madras was delicious, I would recommend well done you guys. At first, I hadn’t realised it was just a takeaway spot — but what immediately struck me was how beautifully decorated and welcoming it was. While waiting, I had the pleasure of meeting Talwyn, an absolutely lovely person whose warmth and friendliness instantly made me feel at home. After chatting with her for a few minutes, I was convinced that if the food was anything like the hospitality, it was going to be something special — and I wasn’t wrong! I took my order to a friend’s place just a few doors down from Spice Guru, and we shared the meal together. The food was fantastic — full of flavour, freshly prepared, and clearly made with care. You can tell they take immense pride in what they do, and that pride shines through in every detail — from the presentation to the taste. It’s a small, family-run takeaway and delivery service, but one that truly punches above its weight. The value for money is excellent, the service is genuine, and the passion behind the food is undeniable. There’s no doubt in my mind that this is a successful place run by a great team who really know what they’re doing. I’ll definitely be returning — next time, I’ll be sure to order a little extra to share!
