Quiet, then the sound of the river tumbling over the rocks, can hear a train on the track from Par to Newquay. Walk under or over the viaduct, the view from up there over the trees, just wonderful. Only thing. Watch out for the dog mess, far too much of it not bagged up and collected by owners. Been coming to this area since I was knee high to a grasshopper. A smidge down the road there’s a good size car park. It’s a great place to dip your toes (or paws) & you can get to the top of the ol’ aqueduct, takes some effort. Not suitable in some places for wheelchair users. Segments of disused railway protruding from the ground which can be a trip hazard for anyone with low visibility. Very peaceful with good signage including historical facts along the footpaths. Lush to see this tonight! We kept on a list for ages and finally got to see it before sunset. Highly recommend.
